Sorry, long time since posting. So is this jerkiness of cars normal? Does everyone experience this, or do you guys all have super smooth multiplayer interaction.

I play LFS just fine but when I go online I watch other cars kinda of herc and jerk on the track. I believe it is other player connections and not mine as I am on a 30Mb line. Still, how do I check my ping and the ping of other? And is there a buffer or something I can increase or a connection speed setting I can adjust to stop these cars from being jerky? Mind you it's not that bad, just annoying as anything.

Does anyone know where I can get an all inclusive mod pack for this that is going to work with the latest version of LFS. It would be restrictively time consuming to have to download all the different track textures and the like individually so if there is pack that works out there could someone please post a link.

Yeah that was the problem. I didn't upload it to lfsworld.net. Cool now I can upload 49 more. So when I uploaded that skin it was 1024x1024, lfsworld will scale it down to 512x512 does that mean everyone will be able to see it. What is with the whole credit high res skin thing?

In LFS if I have a skin that is 1024x1024 can everyone see it, or just the people who have a special account with credits. Or can everyone see it just that only credit account holders can actually download and use it. I am thinking I have to reduce the file to 512x512 for your average account holder to seem my skin or am I not thinking correctly?

Thanks I have a problem though. I joined a server and it says the skin is not found. It is 1024x1024 and about 240k so I don't know what the problem could be. Any ideas?

This is my first skin ever for pretty much anything. What do you think? Please be nice.

Hey all, bought my S2 license about a 2 weeks ago. The LFS physics really struck a cord with me, seems like I could get a real feeling for the car like nothing else I've tried. Couple things, I need a minor league or group I can learn from. I need to know how setups are transferred between players, and I would like to know how to use the skins the are downloaded when I join a server.

As far as leagues or server go, I tried Ironhorse raceing but found the server to be very unfriendly and critical of newbies. Just seems like they kick and ban your for anything, including the occasional spin out. I'm not looking for anything like that. Now I do think intentional crashing and mayhem for lack of a better term is bunk, but I still would like to find a bit of a laid back friendly group of folks that maybe use voice chat cause I just seem to learn better when I can actually talk to someone. I'm reading through the LFS online guide and I'm about half way through the advanced sections. Racing in a server the other day I was about 1 minute off the fastest time for a 6 lap race so I think I need some adjustments A.S.A.P.
