That's true, but a small (or dammn very small :nod status report would really reassure the public, i think. So a lot of people here in this forum could be out for the count !

BTW:

The last reply from Scawen in this forum was on 19th August 2010. This is 8 weeks ago.

I wonder why Scawen could not post a quick "hello, i'm alive and i inform you in one sentence to the actual progress..."??

Making a post takes a few seconds of time, so nobody can tell me he is working so hard on the tire physics, that he has not 10 seconds to reply to this thread.

Leaving us alone here is not the "British Fine Art"!

Automatic engine off after 30 seconds in Game, need help!

Hello everbody!

I'm on building a driving simulator and use an original ignition switch from a vw golf iv in combination with the leo bodnar BU0836X USB Controller.

The switch turn on when ignition is off and also when key is switched to ignition (Switches like the "I" Key on Keyboard in LFS).

This works great, but when the car stands for for about 30 seconds, the engine turns off for it self. I think this was programmed in game to prevent to go low of fuel or something.

But when this happens, and I turn the key to "ignition off", the Bodnar-Controller gives the "I"-Key signal again an the engine turns on. When i turn then the Switch to "IGNITION" the engine turns off. So the basically function of my ignition switch goes backwards. Do you know what i mean?

Is there a opportunity to disable the automatic engine off function in game and is it possible to start game witch engine off, not on? This where very helpful for my project!

Thanks for your help in advance and sorry for my not perfect english!

Quote from amp88 :hit a wall at 200mph and see what the instantaneous G is, for example

That's right! So i must get the transmitted acceleration value to my pneumatik cylinder. The acc-value is m/s². And when this value is higher then the tech speed of the cylinder, the motion simulator is at his limit.

so on, a lot of work!

Thank's again for all your help!

Thank you for your answers!

But for example, for acceleration y i need to convert the value to percent from maximum. but what is the maximum? when i make a full break with the XRGT then the value will go to 10 or 11. with a formula car it goes up to 20 or more.
LFS OutSim - which acceleration values?

I'm at work to program a vb6 apllication for motion control, but i can't find any infos about the x, y and z acceleration or velocity values from the lfs outsim packet. In which unit are they expressed? meter per second? g-force? or what ever... And what are the max. possible values +/- (I need this info to convert the values to percent from max/min).

Could anybody tell me more?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Greetings from Bavaria, Germany!
