sit up in their chair and try to see over the front of some of the cars, i often feel myself trying to peer over the nosecone of the f1 car for instance, i know it sounds strange but to me it must be a natural reaction. dont all laugh at once . im loving the new gt pro that ive just bought and have set it up using the gearstick as the handbrake and the buttons for changing gear, anyone else do it that way?

woowoo, my dfpro arrived, i had a bit of a problem getting used to the stick shift after a year with the flappy paddles so i thought id experiment a bit, stick shifter is now the handbrake and it works very well!! does anyone else use it for that? force feedback is taking some getting used to or maybe i havent got it set up properly yet, whats a good set up for it? all in all an excellent upgrade on my old wheel, now ive got to lower my lap times that have just gone up

what o/s you using? if your using vista it tends to need more than a gig of ram to run it smoothly. i used to have the ati hd2400 gfx card and to be honest i thought it was rubbish, worse than the ati x1650 i put in my kids pc, maybe have a look for a ati x1900 or better still as someone else has said one of the nvidia 8x series.

id like to see something like (or handles like) an old rwd Gp4 Mk2 Ford Escort BDA or Vauxhall Chevette HSR, something smallish rwd that doesnt spin at the sight of a corner or possibly something like a old group B 4wd rallycar (audi, peugeot, lancia, 6r4, rs200) with a hell of a lot of power, traction and wings!! at the moment the only 4wd car that you can play with properly on the rallycross tracks feels like a group N car.

i tried the wheel on my laptop last night after my pc died again (working till 2 am to fix it good job i dont work at the moment) and it was exactly the same. ive just downloaded a new driver from saitek just for the wheel rather than the generic one for all saitek products and once again its exactly the same im giving up and just going to live with the on off switch throttle till i get a new job and a better wheel

ive done a new youtube video to watch (im very kind to you all) this is how the wheel behaves in the windows control panel. i have tried unplugging my other controllers but it doesnt make any difference.

just tried that, the brake pedal slider bar now goes all the way instead of stopping halfway but the throttle stays either on off

whats so odd about the pedals is, in the control panel of windows you can press the throttle pedal to say 20% and hold it there, in lfs and gtr evolution as soon as you touch the pedal bang its up to 100% but the brake pedal is progressive like it should be, ive started to go into corners now in too high a gear just so i dont spin when i touch the pedal which means it bogs down on the exit not going to win any races but it means i dont spin all of the time .

thanks or the advice, one other thing ive sort of just noticed is the throttle pedal is just an on/off switch ive been trying to just feather the throttle around corners then gradually increase coming out of the turn, slow in fast out kind of technique, thing is as soon as i touch the pedal, kaboom full throttle spin spin spin is there anyway to adjust this or is it something im stuck with? ive been looking at some wheels that are ps2/ps3/360 compatible but have never wanted to commit to buying one incase it doesnt work. is there a list of compatible wheels anywhere on the site?

i thought my wheel would get most of the blame , now bearing in mind i have a budget smaller than a small thing whats a worthwhile buy in the cheap force feedback wheel range, and no silly comments about g25`s lol.

sorry for the late reply but ive had a terminal overheated pc to repair and being unemployed means its took a bit longer to do. the wheel im using is a saitek r220 which whilst not being very good works and is all i can afford .
