quick not very scientific test:

Seems an improvement not having to filter through insim - obviously. Still kudos to Rota for making an efficient app

Fanatastic! Thank you! Works very well, will do some testing to see if there is a difference in framerate.

And thank you Rotareneg for your app, been using it for years Thumbs up

Still using it all the time, on- and offline. No problems at all. Just wanted to say thanks again and I really hope Scawen & co made a note on their todo list

@Crashgate3
you have to set it in app.ini:

DriverHeadHorizon=0.750000 ; Percent to allow the drivers head to stay level with the horizon when the car tilts.
DriverHeadNoPitch=0.333333 ; Percent to allow the drivers head to stay level with the horizon when the car pitches.

Hi Rotareneg, I did not know your program even existed! Will try it out, thank you already for making something like this

-Just gave it a quick test: works very good so far! 6A1 btw.

Motion Cockpit View - driver's view level to the horizon

Would it be possible to keep the driver's view level to the horizon? I am not a programmer but what seems a simple tweak could make a world of difference.

Some probably know this idea already from Stephane Turpin's Motion Cockpit View plugin for iRacing.
There are a lot of strong reactions about it but personally I think this is a huge improvement in sim racing. Not only in immersion but also track perception: you can see the banking and elevation that you could not see before.
(Stephane's brilliant idea made iRacing include it in the latest update: adjustable horizon tilt and pitch levels)

What it does is rotate the car, keeping the horizon level, so you perceive the track like in the real world. In sim racing tradition your eyeballs are glued to your headrest, so to speak and you see the road always flat and level.

You need to make a mental switch to let go of what you are used to after years of sim racing, but once you do, you will wonder how you could ever have driven with your eyeballs glued to your headrest for such a long time

Watch here to get an impression of how it looks. Vids don't really do this justice, you have to experience it yourself.

Would you mind reproducing the bug and see if the "click" and "release" give dfferent coordinates while that bug is happening?

i tried different combinations in softTH screen coords, but there was no difference.

windowed LFS goes correctly to the center screen, looks good, not squashed or anything. you can change the multiple screen options there, but when going back to full triple screen, nothing changed.

thanks for this, i know how you are longing to start with the physics

edit: when clicking on center monitor click and release values are the same

exactly, i deleted views.bin after exiting. and true, without deleting buttons not clickable after restart. and same as Bob, they make sound and change color.

it might have to do with softTH screen coords that suddenly changed after changing the setting. i wonder if its the same probs with TH2GO?

i will try some different settings in softTH and see if that makes a difference.

just tried that (even have 2 mice attached lol), but no response whatsoever, also blind click and enter 1 doesnt work. so you can really get stuck there ....

first of all thanks for the excellent new triple screen rendering and adjustments, works flawless for me!
one little thing tho, when i set the number of monitors (left or right) from 1 back to 0, the screen moves to the side and i cant make changes any more. after some digging i found that deleting views.bin set things back to normal.
using softTH.

Quote from jasonmatthews :Has anyone been able to get LFS working in Dual monitor setup with NVidia card in Windows 7 or Vista?

(hi Jason )
it is possible to use softTH for dual monitors, maybe that's a workaround.

Thanks Scawen -and the whole dev team i guess- for your hard work and fantastic racing sim! I am not racing very long, but LFS has opened a new world for me! (.'_',)
