Lea Wood confirmed as a driver for 2014 BTCC, this is his first time driving in the same class as everyone else, will be great to see how he gets on.

What are people's predictions for how the 7 ex-champs will place amongst themselves at the end of the season? This is my reckoning:

1 - Turkington
2 - Plato
3 - Jordan
4 - Shedden
5 - Gio
6 - Neal
7 - Menu

Turkington confirmed in the BTCC, 7 ex-champs on the grid, an estate car, cannot bloody wait!

Agreed, I think 2014 is going to be an absolute cracker for the BTCC. Just waiting to hear if Turkington is confirmed at which point we'll have 7 ex-champs on the grid at once.

Going to be interesting to see how Menu and Giovanardi develop the cars they're in as neither the Focus nor the Passat have been consistent front runners yet.

Good spot, hope it's not too serious.

Quote from amp88 :If you honestly believe that you know nothing about racing drivers in general or Plato in particular. The notion that he wouldn't do everything within his power to win the championship for himself and his sponsors is totally laughable.

I must admit, that had crossed my mind. Plato was off the pace in the third race compared to race 2 where he had the same ballast as race 3. It almost felt like after a handful of laps he knew he couldn't do it so dropped back behind Jordan to make sure Team Dynamics wouldn't win. Pure speculation, of course.

Neal makes it three times in a row... Congrats Matt well done

Who do you think will take the title this year? I’m hoping for Turkington, to do it in his comeback year in a previously un-tested car would be fantastic. If not him, I’d hope for Jordan. In reality I think Jordan might stand a better chance, but am I right in thinking the Hondas have never gone that well around Silverstone?

Amazes me how people can just stand there and watch when the car is on its side in the water.

Not that in to bikes, had no idea of the championship battle that led up to this race, but watched these last couple of laps and my heart was pounding out of my chest. Incredible!

Well driven Escort at the start of the Nurb' classic 2013. Guess he missed qualifying but at least you get to see a variety of cars as he makes his way through.

Great vid

Adam Morgan's drift in the wet third BTCC race at Croft last weekend. If he had hooked it up and got it round the corner it would have been a perfect 10.

He crashed out a few laps later.

Just as a heads-up, the third BTCC race from Oulton Park on the weekend was a cracker.

It was the second session of WTCC qualifying at the Salzburgring where slipstreaming is important. Everyone was waiting in the pits for someone else to leave so they could get a slipstream. Tom Chilton decided to leave, 9 cars followed him out but no-one wanted to go into the final hot lap at the front so they all slowed down to about 50km/h.

James Nash tried to get through but was held up by the slow pack, same with Tom Coronel who put his foot down at the end of the lap but it was all too late as the time had run out.

In the end, I think 11 of the top 12 drivers got fines and big grid drops (ranging from 12 to 24 places) for pissing about and putting on a rubbish show for the fans. Some of the guys were stupid enough to not even set a time as they were so insistent on getting a tow.

Hoping Zamparelli has a good year in GP3, good to see Ellinas up there as well after winning the GP Shootout a few years ago.

Awesome news, shaping up to be a great year. Just waiting to hear who's going to be in the second MG now, general concensus seems to be favouring Sam Tordoff, but would love to see Huff in it.

Great vid.

For anyone in the UK there's a program tomorrow night on Sir Stirling Moss, think it's 8pm, BBC. Have a watch. Then the following evening theres one on either Jackie Stewart or McRae.

Quote from BlueFlame :That's been dropped? How high is a stock 3series?

A decent bit higher...

The underside scrapes over all speedbumps as it is with a 40mm drop on Eibach springs, any lower would be awful!
