assuming u have nvidia card:
the standard nvidia settings work for this purposes flawlesslywitouth any hassle of going to xorg.conf and playing around with it

AFAIK it is possible to build connection between two computers thru USB with special USB cable and some software, but i doubt that u can make it act as external drive
