I think We can close this topic now

The FXO will have serious trouble

err, look at car sizes, FXO is much larger than XFG, so totally different cars.
XFT, turbo version of XFG

This would be a fun car I think, alittle more grunt, but still not like the XFR. Similar to the difference between XRG and XRT, but for front wheel drive. (and some more diversion in the TBA segment)

Quote from dawesdust_12 :Hmm, becuase in my recollection, banning people I recall getting "User banned for xx days" when a ban gets placed.

You're wrong, I just unbanned a user on the [TC] CityDriving USA server (it's running X, so the latest version) ... And I didn't get anything in chat that he was unbanned ... so you're never 100% sure it has happened ...

I ban people all day long, and I don't get any other messages than the user gets disconnected (and that only works when he's on the server at the time, if he already have disconnected you won't know).
I'm mostly on a W10 server though, so perhaps something is done in the latest incompatible patch?
Get a response from server when doing things

When you ban someone for a week, you're not sure if it really happened or not (unless the user is there and you see him go, but it could have been him leaving by himself too, as there's usually a small delay)

What I would suggest is to make some sort of communication back to the user, even if it's only an "Ok" or not, but preferably something along the lines of

< /ban NoGo0dUSR 14
> Ok! NoGo0dUSR banned for 14 days. (Not on server)

Now, you're never sure it actually happened, or not ...

(This is somewhat related to my other administration suggestion, see http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=24652 )

To be honest, some of the comments written shows that the users defenetly didn't go to a [TC]CityDriving server to see what City Driving has to offer. I get the feeling that all different City Driving servers/teams have their own focuses and differences, just like other racing leagues.

The TC servers have some laws, and some rules. When people break the rules they can be banned, as they destroy the fun for others.
But when people break the laws (like speeding), then there will be cops starting to chase them, and that's something fun.

Believe me, it's quite something to shake off a cop in an XFG if the cop drives an FXO, RB4 or FZ5 :haha: ... you could call it racing, but some wouldn't like that, but it's defenetly not 'just cruising along following speed limits' ... you really have to work at it, and hope that there won't be some more cops joining the chase, or you're gonna be busted!
And as a cop, you really have to analyze what the driver in front does, plan ahead, and use every little mistake from the suspect.

So, it's not that much different in the cop chases than in racing, the only difference is that you're not 100% sure what way the suspect will go. In racing you know that the person in front are going to follow the track ... in cop chases the suspect can do an emergency brake turn in front of you and suddenly go in the other direction, so you're on your toes as much as in racing, if not even more.

(as a sidenote, I used to drive in several other leagues (GPL, NR2003, EA F1-series etc.) but I got tired of it, so I know what you mean. I raced too much, actually so much that they JOY dissapeared ... so I unscrewed the wheel and didn't do any racing at all for a couple of years, but now with the TC servers, I actually found the joy again, so that's why I've stayed ... and bought LFS ... so you should all be glad that also the city driving people have paid for the development of LFS ... even though we might have different taste ... and not join 'your servers' )

LFS Name in disconnect message

A small suggestion, that hopefully isn't that hard to add.

It's to add the LFS Name in the disconnect message, not just the current playername. (The same way as it is in kick/ban-votes).

This will make it easier for admins to ban those that ram people and hurry to disconnect before an admin has gotten the LFS name. (sometime I have to exit from server to look at replay to see who it was, and when the replay is 4 hours, it's really boring )

A small improvement, that hopefully will ease the server admins work, and help keeping the servers nice and clean.
