Just read it - the whole concept it nuts.
The example - you are racing Hamilton, and he gets ahead in terms of time, so the AI takes over and causes a pass to occur. When would that pass happen? What if you block the AI and keep him behind you, whilst Hamilton drives away. Immediately you aren't racing the real Hamilton, but a crappy AI. Either that or at some point the car behind you 'warps' to where Hamilton really is, so that despite not being passed by anyone you end up behind.
The idea doesn't have a single redeeming feature, and it completely stupid.
