How do you know your brakes are glowing? Have you any idea how much energy is required to heat steel to a red glow?

Assuming your discs weigh about 8kg, then you would need to use one brake to stop from 82mph to zero with no heat loss to the environment for them to even start to think about glowing. With 4 brakes on a car each doing a proportion of stopping, plus a large transfer of heat from the discs and pads to the air stream (and that rate increases with the temperature difference between the air and the steel) then I'd estimate you'd need to be doing several stops from over 150mph per minute. And that's with a shockingly poor brake system.

Igniting pads? As in catching fire?

Seriously, I doubt it's the car, you've got to be doing something wrong.
