The online racing simulator
Quote from ksa_land :Just another video at the nordschleife. It's a "Taxi drive". A normal person is passenger in a Porsche 996 Cup car with a real racing driver (Dirk Adorf) driving it.
Just pure fun to look at the passengers face

lol for a large portion of the time it looked like he was wishing it was over already

He looked knackered after one lap as a passenger , gives you an appreciation of the physical effort it must take to drive one
It's so easy to drive in a sim without any of the physical effects. I've seen drivers get out of the v8supercars that could barely stand up because of the physical exhaustion looking like they had done ten rounds with mike tyson
Crazy night onboard from Le Mans:

Not sure if it's from the darkest hours, as it looks little brigther than I remember seeing during the race on tv. Or then camera is lying little bit.
also remember that cameras are MUCH better at picking up detail in the dark...its a much different view through the camera than it is driving the thing

Great video

heh, I guess he for the most of the lap forgot to breath.

It must be an amazing experience.
He did get confused with the Lambda figure - <1.0 = rich, not lean as he stated. Because of that error I have to take the rest of it with a certain pinch of salt. His bit about the front bridge wing slot gap controller spar wasn't very good either - he didn't explain [the very simple reason] why it's like that, and not like on most of F1 cars [so far].

Other than that, quite interesting (I prefered to ignore his voice after a while). I wasn't aware of the fuel pressure they run, or the pneumatic pressure in the valve rail - surprising low (at least at idle) to control the valves.

And they should turn the car off soon, or it'll boil over
My love on rally here and here:lovies3d:

Seen those vids some time ago, amazing he got away.

Here's a funny compilation of bathurst crashes I've just found

I've seen tyre cams before, not sure if this one has been shown. Shows front left, they run pretty large amount of camber and by the amount of time it is in the air you must suspect their suspension is pretty stiff

Last lap and a half at Sandown 2006 nice end to a 500km race

One lap with Tander onboard Bathrust 2007

This is the best way to commentate a lap.

You forgot Murphy's amazing record lap of 2003

when racing needed cohones and the drivers could really be called men!
thats cool and all, but needing 900 horse to go in the 10's is a bit retarded
To continue with the Audi theme... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkXJST4bExs Warning: contains explicit drifting

A 4WD Audi + endless supply of tires + huuuuUUUUUuuuge turbo + get the turbo spooled up = :huepfenic
that crankshaft is gonna snap in two someday
