Movie + Proton needs help
hey guys
i made myself a welcome back to LFS movie..
so i went today (my 2nd day of drift in about 4-5 months)
and i made this movie..

ok i KNOW ITS CRAPPY

i need your help.

my PC Spec:

AMD 3800+ 939 Socket (stock 2.4)
A8N-Sli Deluxe
1GB Kingston Ram ( pc3200 )
500 watt PSU
80 GB hdd @ 7200RPM.
Ati Radeon 9200 128MB PCI (not express)

ok i get about 40-60 fps in 1024x768
and i get in 60+ in 800x600.

I recorded with Fraps at 800x600
30fps, full size, and no sounds.

it gave me pretty big files 100mb+ most of em..
and i imported in Adobe Premiere Pro. i didnt use any settings, just " New Project " i named it and hit OK.

i worked on the movie..
after i was done... i exported as movie, and default settings, and it kinda gave me a pretty crappy quality... and than i used Dr.Divx... and it got me from 300mb to 15mb...

so any1 please tell me how to get higher quality !!

thanks

heres the movie

Maybe you can record it with 25 fps and dont forget to put 25 fps in LFS too but I dont know if this is going to help. Nice movie by the way and the quality isnt that bad.
Your best bet, is to set fraps to record at Half Size, 25fps, then set LFS to 1024x768.

What will happen, is you will get full screen Quality, but only half the file size.

To record any higher than 640x480 you need at least a 10,000rpm HD to get quality and and no stuttering ( thats in the FRAPS readme file )

There is loads of tips and tricks on here http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=219

Fordie
no ..

the thing is

i recoded at 800x600...
and it came out PERFECT quality..

i mean heres one resized from like 40mb to 10mb with XVID

http://www.amrodesigners.com/adi/movies/take3xvid.zip

that the quality i get ... only abit better.

PREMIERE messes it up...
i got the v2.0 Pro...

..
so after i export.. even UNCOMPRESSED its still bad quality
#5 - Smax
You need to check the adobe media encoder settings, to get a decent quality export for dr divx to compress I'd suggest you select export as DVavi and set it up for PAL 720x576...even though you're in the states.... NTSCC is something you ought to use if you're pulling footage of a camcorder.

If your PC is fsat enough to cap the Fraps clip at 1024x768 then do it, Premiere will resize it on import, and since re-sizing it shrinks it down it looks as though you've gained a little quality...you haven't but it's a convincing illusion
hey guys..
i found my solution..

as i said when i record at 800x600 comes GOOD quality.

so i just export it as "Microsoft Avi" and for Compressor i choose " None " and the size 720x576 and its suprisengly good quality

thanks for the hints..
GBU all
