0 Server replies on occasion, never had this before
no reply from any servers, and it's showing only 25 populated servers, when i refreshed 30sec later, 75 servers and loads of replies. This has become more and more frequent a problem of late. Master server issue? I've never had this problem before, ever. Please investigate
I'm having the same the issue since sunday. I've raced on Friday and Suaturday without any problems, but from Sunday on the listing of availalbe servers is pretty slow and I can't connect to any server.
Any ideas whats wrong: I've already checked my PC for spyware (none was found) and did a fresh set-up of LFS
I'm using a Speedport W701V and a Telekom-broadband connection if that helps
can´t confirm the problem.

62 non-empty servers

589 servers with a ping below 100ms

seems pretty normal here
I've had this quite a bit recently as well. Sometimes wont see any servers, sometimes only seeing ,say, 22 out of 66 populated servers.
Here is the ping and tracert log I saved today:

Any ideas?
ping 37/39 to liveforspeed.net - so those 2 tests don´t show any problems, do they? ok, timeout at the second hop ("zeitüberschreitung der anforderung"), but after that it went back to normal
hmm, but why can't I connect to any race-server? No virus, no spyware detected on my PC...
Edit: after I reset the router everything is back to normal: LFS connects to the master-server and I can connect to a race-server
Anyway: thx for your kind replies!
hi all. I'm having a similar problem. I'm only seeing limited servers. For example, I only see 15 demo hosts (2 no replies).

I just ran LFS_S2_ALPHA_Y.exe, extracted the files to a separate directory and I see all the 157 demo hosts. Just to make sure, I refreshed the first instance and still only see 15 hosts. Note: I have the same options selected below the server list (all public, private, etc. are set to "Yes"). Can someone explain would could cause this? I don't want to have to unlock it and copy all my stuff over if I dont have to.

I've had this problem since Monday.
Here's an update on my problem.

I tried running my old installation of lfs again. Once again I could only get a few servers. I copied the cfg.txt from the new installation into the old installation directory. It now works fine. I don't understand what's wrong. The last thing I did in LFS was mess around with the custom view but that's about it.

I looked at all of the things that look like network configuration settings and there's some differences but nothing obvious (perhaps cars y and cars n ??? not sure what that's for). If the devs want me to attach both files I will do that.

Final update... I went through the entire cfg.txt file and overwrote each line with the default until it worked. It turned out to be the cars y and cars n setting (which unfortunately were at the bottom of the file!!!). I have no idea what those settings are for, how they changed or why, but that was what was preventing me from seeing all the hosts.
Wouldn't cars Y and Cars N be your filter settings, cars Y being what cars MUST be included, and Cars N being the ones that MUST be excluded?
oops.... *hides in corner* I think you're right I normally never touch those car filters.. but I guess I left them enabled by accident.. oops. It wasn't quite obvious thats what the problem was. Maybe it should reset to cars y 0 and cars n 0 every time you start the game for noobs like myself
