To "wide" or not to "wide"
Going to buy new Monitor, and i think that 20" wide - will be fine for LFS- view angle is better..

but for some 3d-actions wide screen not good...

need opinion of wide monitors users... what u think about it?
The best thing about my 22" widescreen is when I open code in an editor, I can rotate the monitor 90 degrees and it towers above me like the written word of God.

Oh and it was cheap. Which is why it looks like crap. Samsung 226BW.
I'd choose wide over 4:3 anytime, there's no reason for me to use 4:3 (except that I happen to have one that works, and new ones would cost money)
Still someone buying 4:3 monitors?

Get a widescreen, 22" or 24" and be happy. If a game doesnt support widescreen these days its not worth playing.
Personnally, I wouldn't go back to standard 4:3 monitor.

The only thing that annoy me with the wide screen monitor is when you watch a "fake wide-screen" movie and you got black bar left-right and top-bottom of the screen.
last year i've buy a 20in 4:3, but the next one will be 22inW 20inW is no enough high
