Sound card Question - External Presentation
We would like to plug a PC with a presentation running into an external Amp ( speakers all wired around Showroom )

Doesn't need to be excellent sound Quality as it's a one off Open Day / Presentation but would like sound from PC to come out of these speakers.

What sound card would be best for this.

Many Thanks in Advance

Hi Shaun,

Any standard sound card will do. Use the green (I think) socket for stereo output, no need to use the black if present (Surround).

In a previous setup I used to have PC sound going through my HiFi, it sounded absolutley great!

If there's no existing soundcard, you can even get a USB soundcard without the need for installation.

I have my PC going through my amp.

I use the SPDIF optical connection that is on the onboard soundcard, but on an older PC I just used the Speaker output.

You would need a 3.5mmm stereo jack -> red/white phono lead.
