Can a joypad/gamepad give a smooth clutch?
Hi, due to patch Y and me been a keyboard player, instead of whining about how they should revert it, im trying to find a way round it, without having to buy a wheel, because i dont have the money or space for one.

So im wondering, if i bought a gamepad with analog sticks, would i be able to set it up in LFS so i can use the stick/s to give a smooth clutch release?

thanks

yes, you can.
Why? Just use auto clutch
ive ben trying to use auto clutch, by i seem to be better with my keyboard than auto clutch is! autoclutch burns my clutch out alot quicker, especially if i go into a spin
I would recommend buying a cheap wheel instead of gamepad. It's much better, but it's not that much more expensive anyway.

Auto clutch won't help, I've burned the clutch out with that. It slips even if i let up on the gas.

I use a gamepad and manually shift. Thinking auto shift may be the only solution... I don't care what the other threads say, something is wrong with the clutch.
