Laptop - Advent QC430
Hi Guys,

Im thinking of buying myself a Laptop/Notebook. I was just wondering if the laptop I choose would be any good? For example Would it be able to play LFS without freezing and decent graphics?

Any way the laptop is a Advent QC430

It has :

100GB HDD
1gb RAM
128mb Shared Graphics
15.4" TFT Widescreen
533MHz FSB (whatever that is)
1MB Cache
DVD ReWriter Drive
Intel Celeron M 430 Processor 1.73GHz

Cant wait for Jakg's responce

Many Thanks In advance,

Matty

It'll be rubbish for gaming, it's got a slow CPU and integrated graphics.

What do you expect from a cheap laptop...?

Even a £300 desktop won't be that good for gaming.
My sister has an HP laptop. It has an AMD Turion, 512MB of ram, and a mobile Nvidia geforce. You cannot run any games at full resolution, or you get 15fps. If you want a gaming laptop, you have to pay alot of money.
My sister has an Acer Aspire which has around the same specs but only 512mb ram and 64mb shared graphics, and it runs alright. Im talking about a laptop which will just be good enough to play S2 cruising, and a little racing, would this be suitable?

Well, LFS is a lot easier on a computer, graphically, than any other games. Still, I really don't see you getting great framerates without a lot of settings being turned down a bit... especially with that processor - not exactly a fire-breathing chip.
