New Rules and Points for MoE 2007/2008
Below you can find the new rules and points. Changes to last season are written bold.

Point: The same in both classes, 40, 34, 29, 25, 22, 19, 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

This means that the 20th car in a class (which is currently not existing), does not receive any points. A GT1 FXR receives a bonus of 10% (rounded up). MoE reserves the right to do the same for the GT2 FZR should racing show it necessary.

The rules are not updated on the website as of now. They will be until the next race, until then, this thread represents the binding rules.

1. Participantion, Car Restrictions and Invitations
MoE is a team racing series with two separate car classes. Car classes are GT1 and GT2. GT1 class consists of the GTR class in Live for Speed (Patch Y) with only the FZR using a +15kg weight handicap. GT2 class consists of the GTR class restricted in power as follows: FXR 23%, XRR 25% and FZR 20%.

Teams will be invited to race. If a team is interested in racing in MoE, it needs to send an application to (applications 'at' mastersofendurance.eu) after which a invitation my be issued by the organization. Applications must consist of the drivers the teams are planning to employ, the team name and the racing history of the drivers. Teams must also state in which class and with which car they are planning to enter the races. Teams that have not previously raced in MoE need to prove their racing experience in order to receive an invitation.

The organizers can ask the teams or single drivers for proof of their racing capabilities before inviting a team.

2. Number of drivers for a team during a race
During a race, a minimum of 3, a maximum of 4 drivers must race for a team. In the 24h race, a maximum of 6 drivers can race. No driver may race on two different cars during a race weekend. Qualifying sessions are part of a race weekend.

No driver may drive more than 45% of the race. This number is calculated by the number of laps covered by the winning team. Any fractional amount of laps will be rounded up to a full number of laps. The admins give an estimate of that number before the race. All laps driven by the respective driver that exceed the 45% or the estimate, whichever is higher, will be deducted from the team's total laps.

3. Driver Names and Swaps
Driver names must show the car class and the team number of the driver and must show the real name of the driver. Classes are distinguished by different colors of the team numbers. GT1 uses blue and GT2 uses red. The name must be white. Example:

GT1: 10 – P. Kempermann
GT2: 10 – P. Kempermann

Driver swaps can be timed freely. However, a driver may only join the server when the car he wants to swap into is in the last sector of the race track. The driver leaving the car must leave the server immediately.


4. Racing Modus

* Qualifying
In the week before a race on Sunday and Friday nights at 21:00 CET (summertime when applicable) qualifying sessions of one hour will be held. Teams can run an unlimited amount of laps during these sessions, but may only have one car on the track at all times. The fastest lap of the team counts for the starting positions.

* Racing
The racing will be timed, either 6, 12 or 24h. 6h races start at noon, 12h races at 10:00 (10am) and 24h at 16:00 (4pm). All times CET (summertime when applicable).

5. Scoring
* In order to be scored, a team must cross the finish line after the full race time or distance has expired and the leader has been waved off.

* If a team is disconnected from the server, they may rejoin and start racing again. Their number of completed laps will be recorded by the organizers and they will be added up in the end and scored accordingly.

* If a team is stranded on the track due to running out of fuel, an accident or other reasons, they may use Shift-P and restart the race. In that case, a penalty of 1 lap will be added to their overall time.

4. Points
Points will be given as follows:

In the 24h-race the points will be doubled.

5. Skins
All teams must have their own, individual racing livery. If a single racing team submits two or more cars to the MoE, the racing liveries of these cars must be significantly different. The racing livery must be fitted with the teams’ assigned number on the sides, hood and rear bumper. The real names (no nicknames) of the team’s drivers must be listed on the car in a readable way; the names must be accompanied by a flag of the nationalities of all drivers.

MoE can require all teams to fit their cars with number plates, sunstrips and car markings which are provided by MoE.

Racing liveries must be submitted to the MoE admins for rendering puposes.

6. Starting Procedure
Flying start in double file formation. A pace car will lead the field during a formation lap at a decent speed. Drivers are to run single file until the last sector, when the pace car slows its speed to allow drivers to catch up and line up in the double file formation. When the pace car pulls into the pits, the leader continues at 80km/h. A race marshall will give the green flag signal upon which the race is on. Passing must not be done before the green flag is given.

A car that loses its grid position during the formation lap because of a spin, empty tank or any other situation, regardless of the cause, cannot regain its grid position. It must start from the back.

A car not paying respect to double file formation can be assessed a drivethrough penalty.


7. Penalties
Penalties will be given during the race in form of a drive through or stop and go penalty. Teams must appeal to the organizers immediately upon which the race marshals will analyse the situation and rule a verdict.
If the accident happens in the last hour of the race, instead of a stop and go or drive through penalty, the penalty will be 45s or 30s added to the overall race time of the team in doubt.

Incidents between the GT1 and GT2 classes and/or incidents resulting out of gross negligence of a driver can be penalized by a deduction of 1 – 5 laps on top of the penalty normally given

Should one car cause another car to lose its grid position during the formation lap, a penalty in form of a drive through or stop and go can be given.


Appeals filed later than one hour after the stint of the driver who feels victim of the accident will not be accepted.

Appeals must be filed via a form provided for it and include a replay of the scene.

The admins can rule upon an accident without an appeal being filed.

10. Miscellaneous
No chatting during the race or qualifying. If a driver chats, a drive through penalty will be assessed by the race marshals. If a driver chats during qualifying, a 1s penalty on the best time of the team will be assessed for each chat line. Messages must not be blocked.

No excessive honking. If excessive honking is used, a drive through penalty will be assessed by the race marshals.

When the race is finished, it is prohibited to drive another lap. After you have crossed the line, gently slow down and come to a standstill after T1.

In the part about Racing, you say the races will be timed. But what about the 1000kms races? Also starttime of those races should be written in the rules.
The last race (SO long) was a 6 hour but started at BST 10:00, i was confused by the CEST so it might be better to use UTC or both? . This confusion meant that Niki had to double stint in the last round and messed up our strategy a bit.
I agree. Using UTC is good because we can all go to LFS World and see our time listed right beside UTC, so there isn't any question about the start time.
