You can't, if you want to edit the car bodies

You can import the CMX meshes into 3D Studio Max and play with them to your heart's content, but they are not compatible with LFS so it is strictly an external exercise. See the 3D section for more info.

*CMX meshes are not the file format used in LFS, only in the viewer. Modifying LFS cars for use in the sim is currently not allowed or supported.
