Hi I just payed for my s2 licence, but my pc with the LFS2 is at home, and now it looked if I wasted my money
can I still unlock it at home

I believe you can unlock LFS from different PC only a certain amount of times per-month.

You'll need an internet connection to unlock S2.

Isnt it possible if I installed LFS 2 at work again, unlock it, copy folder and paste on my pc at home?

LFS works fine with no connection, but to unlock it you DO need an internet connection - the unlock is bound to parts of your PC - in short unless your work PC is IDENTICAL to your PC at home then your stuffed.

..and now the ISP company is full of excuses as well. damn

I would have wasted it anyway, cant even connect with demo at work. (firewalls etc. as i am working for govenrment)

Can you take your computer to a friends house, unlock LFS on their internet connection (takes seconds), then go home.

Whilst you are there, you could have a LAN game with your friend, or make him play it and buy it so you have a friend to play online with.

Depending on your Mobile (Cell) Phone, you may be able to use it to create a dial-up connection whilst plugged into your PC at home.

Check your phone manual to see if it supports this.

Or can you take your PC to a friends house to go online and unlock ?

na, LFS needs to bind to your machine and ip for copy protection reasons....Good idea Tristan...and if he can't go to a friends, he might get lucky with a wireless network nearby

i just hope the LFS guys did not cancel payment, but that i'll see tonight. I also cant wait to race online

...did you send the Dev's an email?...how did you contact them to cancel the payment?

used the "Contact us" tab on the LFS website.

Just fyi, you may wish to pick a different avatar - 20% of all LFS'ers are German...
