I have a 25 min DVD that i need to convert to MPEG so i can stick it on the web.
Anyone any recommendations?

AutoGK seems to be the boy.

No experience with it though.

tried it... only outputs avi iirc...

Any reason why you specifically want mpeg?

SuperDVD ripper will rip DVD's to mpeg.

i need to import it into flash... MPEG imports and compresses the best.

You can then use Virtual Dub (free) to convert avi to mpeg or DivX, XviD etc.

DVDs already are MPEG compressed.

I think compressing it two times is not a good idea.

Which is why it's better to use SuperDVD ripper, it'll just rip the DVD straight to mpeg

Yeh i had a quick look at that Dan, there seems to be a LOT of programs in Google called "Super DVD ripper"
Do you have a link by any chance?

You can transfer the mpeg data from the .vob to an avi using a hex editor.
