The online racing simulator
Teamate initiated setup changes (F12 tweaking)
Here is one for the endurance racers out there:
When doing a driver change, sometimes it is necessary to make changes for the next driver via F12 (for Race Strategy, Weather Conditions, Driving Style, etc.). Currently this is all done by the racer on the track before the pit stop, which can be pretty tedious.

If it were possible, when the Takeover driver enters the server, for him or her to make the F12 changes for the pit stop before they get in the car.

Implementation would require a rethinking of the takeover procedure, but it would be more realistic as a driver would not be responsible for making setup changes for the next driver IRL.

Your thoughts? (Tried a search, couldn't find anything)
-1 because it sounds utterly UN-realistic. This would never happen in a real life endurance race. It's up to the pit crew and the driver to make any nessecary changes for the next driver.

The driver isn't going around to the new set of tires making .1 lb air pressure changes, the crew is. He would dictate yes, but its up to the crew (teamate in game) to get it done.
it would make things easier for the more hardcore leagues. instead of pressing f12 on the straightaway and trying quickly choosing tweaks to be done in the pits, you could say it over ts or vent and have a teammate do it for you. i
+1

But better yet: store the settings as a script that can be executed with a single key - by the current driver.

I agree, but hopefully LFS will develope into a sim where you cannot simply know what will be needed in advance of something like a 24hr race. Be it weather, track conditions, damage, or temperatures, strategy would need to be updated on the fly. The driver could speak what he is feeling, and let the rest of the team discuss strategy and update pit settings.
Maybe the data should be a matter of logging on to a telementry relay.

LFS should generally have a timing monitor anyway IMO.
