I do believe it's possible. But only with alot of hard work.
I've seen some gauges and other assorted goodies that hook into the insim/outsim and draw stuff using a directx overlay.

I would guess that no one would actually want to do this though. Nothing wrong with the gauges now

Suggest it here, If he updates to teh new insim protocol you might be abel to get him to toss your guage in. Frankly i'd love a guage like that
