Cleanup from "Crash Address Important!"
Is this the crash address? If so, add this pic to 1st post, delete my post and close the thread.

And no need for your post either eh?
thanks guys. I just had a CTD yesterday and the PC said he saved the crash report somewhere. Going to have a look to report it....

Edit: Okay hyperactive I found the list with the error messages. However there are no details there. Just a single line reporting the error. HAve to search for a file I think to find the error message Report I guess

That line contains the crash address, the crash address is at the end of the line. It should say "address 0x0001esrgp8t¤#&%#¤&¤%W&I" or something like that.

Quote from fujiwara :Try looking for minidump files in c:\windows\minidump for files like
minixxxxxxxx.dmp (the xxxx are the date of the created dump)
and for sysdata.xml files, usually in Documents and Settings\User\Local Def...\Temp

I think the minidump files are ONLY for BSOD crashes. (Note you dont normally see the blue screen anymore because the default on windows xp is to automatically restart)
Old info removed
This would help abit...

My first ever crash with LFS on a test patch.

U30

Exiting from race in single player, just me on the track.

lfscrash.png
I got this crash after entering LFS, going in the multilayer server view, the (i think before finishing to load all the list) i quickly clicked on the button from the bottom left side to quit the game. The error appeared in the final stage, instead of seeing just the desktop i saw the error and the desktop.
Hope this helps. I'm looking forward for the crashes to stop and the new features to pop .

All the best!

Just out of interest... Is it right to post crashes only in this thread and not in the Bugs-Program section?

If it is here my crash after pressing Alt+F4 on U32 running a race with AI.

Suggestion to Scawen, for the next round of test patches: Let LFS itself run DrWatson when it starts up. (For test patches only. If necessary, make it an opt-out option for the user.)

Not sure if it is technically feasible, but it might save you some bug-hunting work in the future.
just were racing today, and while the track should (was) have been changed it crashed. latest auto update patch.

Same thing happened for me. I was pressing F8 and then the the STCC server started to change track, suddenly there was no more LFS. No crash address, nothing, like I've never started it.

This might not be relevant to a test patch (I'm running V), but since it also happened to [RCG]Boosted, I've thought I should mention it.

Hey Scawen;

I had a crash today with Patch Update 0.5W. The new auto updated one.

I was in Multiplayer race (Redline Racing 2), spectating with about 20 cars in I spose. I was at the chicane in AS2, in Shift U cam mode, just watching tyre deformation, trying to get a few pics. Then it crashed. It might take a minute to show the pic, crappy server. Oh; I was also watching in window mode. Here's the report:

Hope it helps. Anything else u wanna know about it, let me know. Sorry, I forgot to get the technical information. Didn't see it until I looked at the pic. If it happens again, I'll make sure I get it. For your info. Computer is AMD Athlon 1.6 ghz, 786mb ram, Nvidia Gforce2 card.

Venus.
Hi,

had another crash. Since you asked us to post these... here ya go. Sorry, I tried to get the technical data. I tried; but it wouldn't let me show the background so I could paste this image, then copy the technical. I had to choose one or the other. Since this is the one you asked for, I figured it was more important.

This time; I was in MP again, in the STCCb server. 20 drivers. Had it in window mode again, but had just gone to full screen (cause sound was playing up and everything was jerky). Then it crashed. I guess it overloaded or something, and doesn't like working in windowed mode with large numbers of players. (Both crashes had alot of players.)

Venus.

LFS keeps crashing while connecting or playing on Redline X30 server. It's Redline only, other servers are fine. First i thought it has something to do with insim app running on the server, but doesn't seem so, because other servers running insim apps are ok.
Crash adress is still the same.
Using Win XP.
EDIT: ..so not only redline, almost all servers.
EDIT2: correction: ALL servers. Sometimes it pops up immedately after connecting, sometimes after few minutes of playing.

EDIT3: looks like clean installation has helped

I don't have crashes, but the game minimizes for no apparent reason. Been happening every 5 to 10 minutes since the patch.

Can't provide any specific information, other than it didn't happen before the X30 patch ( all the way back to S1 ).

Not related to windows update, either.
If I get any hard crashes, I'll report it, but I wonder if anyone else has these 'soft' crashes ?
Help!!

Had a complete freeze and total lockup...had to force a reboot with the power button...
Upon reboot, no error messages. I am running Vista x86 Ultimate; where can I find a crash log please?
(tried minidump...no such folder in windoze )
