Watching the F1 2007 season opener today I taped, it hit me. How come there is no "shine" lay on the open wheel cars tires? All the cars in the real race there tires had a glare on them. Would make it more realistic to have slight shine off the tire, and not just totally flat color.

because the devs got rid of .. just about all specular reflections for some odd reason, which we had in S1

Hmm hope they bring it back.

Just as long as they don't end up looking like plastic or metal (like in some games)...
