Why are the races so early?
Is there a public demand for this?

Most of the races in round 1 started 16:00 to 19:00 UTC

I would vote for to start the races from 18 to 21 UTC

It's a bit early for me to race at 17, the kids are awake etc....
Well you can't suit everyone, this is a worldwide game, and so many time zones around the world. I can't see them changing, sorry.

Early for you? 16:00UTC is 11am in the morning here, but with this being a world wide league, I don't think a time change will happen.
Well you know the hosters and stuff have a life to you know, they have to do about 3-4 hours of hosting and then do alot of work after the pools, if it was any later it would be midnight before they even thought about themselves.

I know the times arn't the best as I was only just back from work at the start of the last one, but it can't suit everybody and you should be lucky if it's about 4pm your time, I seem to remember one guy doing the races at about 8am and those were about 1900GMT.

yes, I know and understand it's a worldwide league,
although I think more than 90% are european.

I can't be the only one that has kids and things to deal with
in the evenings....

The OLFSL rules say the races are held from 16:00 to 22:00 UTC
So my point is: Can the majority of pools be held during
19-22 UTC, instead of 16-19.

It is just a little suggestion, within the rules as written, It would make it
easier for most people to plan their day...

If they need more "race-stewards" and hosts then I'm pretty sure
they know a lot of people that might help them e.t.c....
