We started the last quarter of our 2025 season with a race around the Aston Cadet reversed using the four wheel drive hot hatch XF Garis. This combo attracted a total of 21 drivers to set a laptime during qualifying and 19 of those drivers took the start.
Pole position was taken by Lagooga, who continues to dominate whenever he appears, keeping his pole position rate at 100%. Beside him on the front row was Unite, only 0,2s behind. On the second row it was Suforr ahead of Thehemuli, while Hachiroku found himself fifth on the grid.
The start was a costly one for Thehemuli, as he fumbled and fell to P9, promoting Hachiroku to P4. But for R.Hernandez it was a mighty start: he found himself fifth after a few corners, having started from P9. After a few laps the top three of Lagooga, Unite and Suforr started to pull away from the rest. For a moment if looked like Suforr could challenge Lagooga for the lead after overtaking Unite for P2, but the Spanish driver ran into troubles with his tyre temperatures. He elected to make a pitstop on lap 10 for some fresh rubber and a setup change, but it was all in vain as he retired a few laps later. This meant that the battle between R.Hernandez and Hachiroku was now for a podium position. It lasted up until lap 20 when Hachiroku made a mistake in the corkscrew and rolled his XF in to the barriers, ending his race. This then promoted Thehemuli back into fourth where he had started from. He would then engage in a fierce battle for the last step on the podium with R.Hernandez for the remaining 12 laps. The duo changed positions multiple times and provided the broadcast audience some good entertainment. The decisive move happened on the very last lap when Thehemuli sent one up the inside and kept the door closed for any more attempts, scoring his first road tyre podium of the season. Lagooga led from start to finish and scored his second win of the season in a conclusive manner. Unite took the second step on the podium after a solid performance. R.Hernandez was fourth and Rony fifth, being the fastest of the three Race Green drivers that took part.
Now that we have completed all of our road tyre races for the season, we can take a quick look at the first completed tyre type standings. Funnily enough, the top three of the standings is the same as the podium for this race: Lagooga first, Unite second and Thehemuli third. After the next race we will find out who takes the crown in dirt tyre standings, and in just over a month we will see who will be crowned the All Rounder Champion of 2025.
