Why try and make LFS into something very strange and confusing?

Because in US times there is no where TO race. Unless you aren't sick of Aston National after 50000 laps. Everywhere else is qualifying hotlapping with 1 or 2 connections. You join and ask for a race and get ignored. So you either join AS Nat and zone out while running fast times without thinking about it, then break up all the racing and spread out the field with the stupid forced pit in 10 laps, or you join the CnR servers because LFS is very very boring anymore. Seems like all the racers have left the United States and have been replaced by a bunch of kids. Of course, last night I finally found some of the old folks at Blackwood, but again, Blackwood is just another version of Aston National. Let's go somewhere different guys .

EXACT same thing happend to me. No rules explanation and it early and I didn't know what spec 1min meant. Duh...I got it RIGHT as the guy kicked me.

Exactly how I feel Nighthawk. I don't care if there are grumpy kids in there or just stupidity.... I just want to mess around and do whatever... Not a lot of racing goin on for us, so it is ONE alternative to sitting in a low count server waiting for more people to join

I'm in the same pot with you guys, but I ain't strong enough not to play LFS... so CNR.

It does suck being in the US, not being able to find many races, but im usually able to find at least a few with decent numbers. I agree that BL and AS are overplayed though. No one ever seems to play the new AS configurations or KY/FE/WE

I dont understand what the obsession is with blackwood tbh, we've had that map since the demo originally came out, cant believe others arent sick of it

I've played on that server a few times.. its quite fun when the cops are doing there job.

i don't stick to the speed limit, and always attempt to try and get a police chase, otherwise its boring.. i've noticed some people stick to the 30mph speed limit though!

They are very strickt on driving on the right. If you get caught on the wrong side, instant kick.

The point is that most servers are mislabeled by having the term "Cops & Robbers" in their name. Mostly they want to simulate "CityDriving" instead, i.e. just driving around normally and roleplaying. Which gets quite boring quite fast, IMO. And these people also constantly wonder why someone actually wants to provoke a cop chase, which is not seldomly followed by a kick

I don't need to be flamed, or anything, but I do not get the point of city driving? Who prefers that over racing anyway? Younger players who don't have a driving license yet? Unfortunately these servers are always full when race servers lack in popularity / variation.

Cops and robbers is a different matter, it has a point and it's fun. But I am talking about driving limited speeds and signalling in a ridiculous maze built in a parking lot.

When I ran a private server it was big fun,perhaps I had the biggest fun which I had with LFS,but now,I couldn't care less.

And perhaps I havent played it,since I was quite pissed off that MaxH takes all the credits for a layout I made,and then everybody starts flaming me

Wish I never made the layout.

absolutely agree. Some time ago there was such an excellent mod illepall who banned me for ramming a police-car a bit to provocate a chase.

Though I just cant get all the good people together on our server (Citydriving Cops&Robbers). I quess its the reality, oh and btw RSchumacher: Crashing into a police car isnt my type of fun, I can understand if a admin has a bad day and sees a guy crashing into a cop car that he will kick you.

I didn't say kick ... he banned me. And he came in and just started banning ... but anyway, after some time it sucks ...

But you dont "visit others" in "normal" CnR. In the good old CnR, there are the robbers from the beginning of the round, and they are supposed to hide and get away from the cops.

You dont get banned for braking some stupid "laws" like driving on the right/left side or speeding. illepall

i agree... that is a good Cops&Robbers server

yea im banned there too
never back to that server
but sometimes i visit the citylife server, at some points i just like to cruise around with some ppl.
on a racing server u cant do that
sometimes i wish there was an GTA with LFS physics

OK, I might not have any imagination then. But honestly, if somebody enjoys driving his car into a box made of few advert banners on a parking lot (working part. lol. sorry.) there and has a hard-on when unknown male drives his car into the same box (visiting part. lol. sorry.), I won't be there stopping him having fun

edit: forgot the medic but perhaps everyone can figure it.. (:
