I think what many peoples dont understand what Scawen means when created category saloon and touring car. I'll try to explan this types

In British english saloon is sedan. is a passenger car in a three-box configuration with separate compartments for engine, passenger, and cargo. it can be sedan, 2-doors sedan, fastback, liftback, hatchback. Any car with fixed roof

touring car - any car without a fixed roof, roadster, convertible, targa top, etc

many people think that touring car is WTCC BTCC DTM. I think that no.

if i not right lets Scawen explane for us what he is mean.

in any case i think Victor must create any tool to vote to change category. why?

https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/E27DAC - van. but must be saloon
https://www.lfs.net/files/vehmods/83EECF - saloon. but must be truck
I agree that those two mods should be changed, to the category you suggest. I think that mod creators usually respond well to a comment on their thread, to fix errors.

To my mind, a 'touring car' doesn't have to have an open roof. I believe it can have a fixed roof. In LFS previously we have used it to mean more powerful road cars, that are designed for high speed and with good handling. Compared with 'saloon' which is a more ordinary type of car that is best suited for going shopping or to work if there is no good cycle route or public transport to get there. Smile
maybe it would be more appropriate to use words like sport and normal?
