60th RTFR XL

A reminder - server will be password protected 1 hour before qualifying start to keep not knowing crowded server jumpers out of way,pass will be always the same: green

Pitting rules:

Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time,which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Important:
  • In events under Race Green Events control,bumpdrafting with open wheel cars (like MRT) is forbidden! Everyone caught bumpdrafting will receive penalty for intentional contact,unsportsmanlike conduct and/or unfair advantage in range from 30 seconds added to finish time for offence[s] in qualifying to 1 lap penalty or disqualification for offence[s] in race! Stay fair and avoid any contacts and report any misconducts of others!
  • Reminder about reduced pitlane speed limit of Rockingham environment - 65km/h (~40mph)! Since the MRT has no pitlane speed limiter and revlimiter being way beyond useful rev range,it is worth to draw attention of drivers to this to avoid race spoiling penalties (default LFS penalties). The is no ruling how early a penalty must be server besides that it has to be done before finish,but bear in mind that you cannot make a pitstop if a given penalty is active!

Upsas,who earned the chance to select the combo of this race did not reply despite having 2 weeks more time than usually,so an automatic choice selected a combo not very popular with folks - MRT race at Rockingham's Oval. With 22 drivers attending this tuesday,it was repeated lowest attendance of the year,still as always in oval racing the competition was high and intrigue even higher.

Maciek was not on everyone's radar when prognosing winner of this race,but his late pitstop strategy and situation on track led put him in "practical" lead of the race and despite his teammate's effort to pass him,the pole still crossed the finish line first and took his 1st ever podium finish in RTFR XL and 5th top5 overall. The organizer of this event finished 2nd,scoring 1st fastest lap not just for himself but also for his represented country. 2nd place finish was repeat of his best results and the better one of 2 top5 finishes this year,24th top5 finish overall. Just 1/100 of a second split the 2nd and 3rd place finishers - Mandula could not complete pass in final rush to finish line and just repeated his best result in RTFR XL races,4th top5 finish this year and 6th overall. Redbot crossed the finish line just 6th,but advanced 2 positions due penalties of others and completed the top4 positions sweep for the hosting team. The previous RTFR XL racewinner scored his 1st top5 finish of the year and 5th overall. Polesitter TJ picked a wrong strategy for the race - after being left alone in lead right after start of the race,he decided to complete pitstop very early and never got in high positions again as he drove a large portion of the race alone. Even more bad luck of earning a penalty cost him position he gained right at the finish - 5th place in final classification and 2nd top5 finish for the brazilian out of 2 race finishes here.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
This race set a new record of race leaders - previous best of 5 just 5 races ago was beaten by one more. Now the actual fun fact - while having many race leaders is quite common in oval racing,previous only RTFR XL oval race featured just a single race leader.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
Michal stopped for just 10.10 seconds in his workless pitstop and earned the honor of being the Clock pitter of the race. His connection instability eventually resulted of being removed from track for safety reasons few laps after completing half distance,so at least he got classified as 15th.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
Starting from low 18th position and crossing finish line 1st normally grants the honor of boing Field rusher of the race - winner of this race had a 4 positions better progress than best rival.

* HONORABLE MENTION :
...goes to mr.Stable - once again he was the only other driver besides organizer racing in all 12 races,having results good enough to even finish in top10 in standings.

VOD at Youtube:
