(browse for various championships and single round results)

The final round of the season brought dissapointment - the long awaited title battle never happened as both table leaders never joined the track for this round, despite being present in server and having practiced. It was V.Laguckas, who took over and dominated the final round by setting by far fastest lap in qualifying and finishing with biggest margin of victory in the whole season. His teammate Sobis used the early search for positions and grabbed 2nd place, which he kept for the remaining race. Snoopy was a relatively rare guest this season and with rather unspectacular results, but in the final round he finished in strong 3rd position.

The full season sum up and final standings will be posted during the weekend.

Series final standings
All-wheel-drive Winter Series 2018 final standings:

Championship spreadsheets

When compared to last year, this one was not much different - we had a total of 35 entries,27 actual participants and 26 of them scored at least one point towards series standings. Only 2 drivers participated in all 6 rounds while 8 missed just 1 round. Attendance did not broke any records - 1st round as usually was most attended with 18 drivers, while only 8 gridded up for final round, averaging 14 drivers per round, which is the same as last year.

AWS 2018 Drivers Champion: B2マ FasT
It was the 7th season of this league and this year we celebrate the 7th different series champion - lithuanian driver Fast, representing Born 2 Race team. Fast won 1st round of the season taking the lead in standings, which he never gave up for rest of the season, taking a spot on podium in every round he attended. He scored 3 wins,5 podium finishes,3 pole positions and 3 fastest laps of the race.
Champions compatriot Dzidoris was on title chase through out the season with variable gap to leader, but had to settle for 2nd place in final standings, which is still 1 position improvement for the 2017 Rookie of the Year, when he finished 3rd in standings. Dzidoris won 2 rounds, collected 5 podium finishes,2 pole positions and 2 fastest laps of the race, finishing the series with 6 points gap to champion. League returner Sobis finished between best 4 in all 5 rounds he joined, best result was 2nd place finish in final round - he was 9th in 2013 standings as a rookie. 4th in final standings was the only other driver besides 2 highest in standings, who scored a win, pole position and fastest lap - V.Laguckas done all that in final round, finishing 2nd in only other 2 rounds he completed. It was 2 positions loss in main standings for V.Laguckas compared to previous season. 5th was the only non-lithuanian in top 5 of final standings - South scored 2 top5 finishes with 2nd place as best result.

AWS 2018 Rookie of the Year: B2マ FasT
After a "break" in previous season,we have again a champion being also Rookie of the Year. His closest rival South scored just a bit more than a half of Fast's points count.

AWS 2018 FXR Master: LLM.Sobis
One 2nd place finish and two 4th place finishes were enough for Sobis to take the FXR Master award this season - he was 3 points ahead of Fast and V.Laguckas.

AWS 2018 RB4 Master: B2マ FasT
2 wins,3rd place finish and 2 pole positions is the performance of Fast using RB4 this season, title taken with 4 points gap over closest rival Dzidoris.

AWS 2018 Cross Challenge winner: DzidorisIII
Dzidoris is the 1st ever returning champion of an individual award in AWS history - the defending award winner won both rounds counting towards this award, missing just 1 point from total domination,8 points gap over closest rival Fast.

AWS 2018 Teams Champions: Last Lap Motorsports
Last season's 3rd best team was able to improve their performance this year and took the championship. LLM scored 1 win,9 top5 finishes,1 pole position and 1 fastest lap of the race, scoring max possible 30 points in final round. They won the series with 29 points gap.
Champion's team Born 2 Race finished 2nd in teams standings, mostly due performance of Fast, while 10 points were scored in round 1 by their later retired driver. B2R collected 3 wins,6 top5 finishes,3 pole positions and 3 fastest laps. World Class Lions improved their last year's performance by 2 positions and finished 3rd in standings, taking 1 top5 finish on their way.
Defending champions MTDZX started the season with good performance in 1st 2 rounds, but never attended after, finishing just 6th in standings, while 4-time champions RGA were place just above them.

AWS 2018 Nations Cup winners: Lithuania
After throwing Latvia from the throne last year, defending champions Lithuania dominated this season by scoring 178 of 180 possible points. Lithuanians scored all 6 wins, pole positions and fastest laps, allowing only 2 drivers from other countries step on podium. Lithuania collected a total of 20 top5 finishes this season.
Finland has been always there close to top nations and this season was not different - 2nd place in Nations Cup,even if they scored "just" 2 top5 finishes. After seeing mostly northern countries on Nations Cup podium, this year something more "exotic" joined it - Turkey. Due sole performance of South, the near east country finished 3rd in standings, taking 2 top5 finishes on their way.
5-time nations champions Latvia this year was practically deserted and represented by just 2 drivers, one of them scored 1 point in 1st round and never returned - 4th position in standings, just 1 point behind podium.

Race Green Events thanks all participants and wishes much success in all other leagues and events they are taking part. We hope you enjoyed racing in AWS and you all get much fun and valuable experience from the races.
The prize winners will receive PM during this week!

This is the paragraph, where the future plans of Race Green Events are posted. There are actually no differences or specific plans - RTFR and RTFR XL will be keeping you busy on most tuesday evenings, while V8 Racing League should return for it's 4th season sometime in late summer/early autumn. And without drastic negative changes in LFS world AWS will return for 8th season before or just after the new year. Also we will not forget the Crashmaaas!!! of course. Any other ideas and concepts currently will stay as ideas and concepts due couple of reasons like slight lack of time and unwillingness to compete with other organizers, who also are making their events in the sunday prime time.
