Offline Racing Leagues
So I've ran the basics: Demo XFG/XRG & FBM back in high school, once I upgraded to S2, I did a full 50 race FO8 Championship, been able to do the TBO Rallycross, XFG/XRG RC, and attempted (not my fault it failed) BF1 Championship. Since, I've been able to stay very local about it and I've tried to expand (literally, you can search "LFS Offline League" in YouTube and you'll find mine). I've tested for the XRR, XFR, and FZR championship and it could work.

Now I expect the whole: Why would you think of this? And truth be told, I've signed up for nr2003 offline leagues and it was exciting in it's own way, though granted nr2003 can add A LOT more tracks than we can. I did it because it kept me busy during boring classes and at home. I've learned how to take hotlap setups, run them near 100 miles and see how an Aston setup can be used at KY3R and at Blackwood. How, more than half the time, a BL2R setup works at almost every Rallycross configuration. Plus, in high school, I gave out an end of the year prize to the Champ. Usually a soda, but a free one is always the best one.

So, if you wanted to join an offline league, what would you prefer?
No.
dude what
xD
Does running bots with GTR on tough tracks and watch them crashing each other count as offline racing league? Big grin
Although crashing is fun, I try my best to have all cars finish within 10 laps of each other.
So 1 negative, 2... im not sure, and Rony being Rony. So try this instead: if you had any idea of improvement, any at all, what would you add?
So, currently, the FO8 GP is leading. Honestly, it's not a surprise to me. I was actually ready for that and have an idea for the LFS community: Use LFS teams as the AI. Would it be accurate? Absolutely not. But that's the fun. The current teams I have paint schemes for I have gathered over the past 2 years since I've been running offline leagues. Majority of the listed teams I know and even had the honor of racing with, and some I think were here before me, so don't be shy to take notice of who's here and who's not.

*NOTE* I am more than highly aware that majority say "for private use.. yada yada yada" and that's exactly what they're used for. I have never publicly raced with any of these skins, other than my own. ALSO, I made each offline driver get a minimum of 3 paint schemes for each league I raced*

In Alphabetical Order:

1) AdvoCare Racing (5 Skins)
2) Clockwork Motorsports (4 Skins)
3) Conquest Racing (3 Skins)
4) CoRe Racing {3 versions} (17 Skins)
5) Experion Racing (6 Skins)
6) Fragmasters (3 Skins)
7) Inex Racing (4 Skins)
8) Last Lap Motorsports (8 Skins)
9) The Laptop Shop (3 Skins)
10) New Dimension (4 Skins)
11) P.N. [Japanese Team I think] (3 Skins)
12) Race Green (4 Skins)
13) Savage Simsports (8 Skins)
14) Sonicrealms Racing (8 Skins)
15) Tigerexpress Motorsports (4 Skins)
16) Vires Competition (3 Skins)
17) Zoom Competition (6 Skins)

Fantasy Teams in no particular order:
Target Racing (LLM I think), MLP:FIM (Various), MLP: Fighting is Magic (Tp88 sadly made these).

Currently, the roster would be full with the LFS and Fantasy Teams on board. Current opinions? Am I seriously gonna get a lot of hate for all these skin files (more than likely)? Is anybody going to post their teams skins (please don't, just a link or file is fine)?
The one video I found on youtube did not really explain..
As I understood you doing races with/vs AI, okay. But how do others "join"?
Is it like fantasy football or something?

Betting on outcome of AI races does not sound so interessting to me. But I remember once someone a poll thing about a race and others could bet on things like the winner, how many finishers, who does fastest lap etc. That was quite neat idea, should be done more often.
(sorry if that was off topic)
That YouTube video was a "Comment to sign up". Basically if I wanted to join I'd comment "Tp88 - AdvoCare Racing". And that's it, first come, first serve. And no, you're comment on the predicting is understandable (trust me when I say that anything South City associated with AI's and long races IS unpredictable.)
To heck with it,

The League will consist of all 20 GP tracks and reversed, along with the final 10 races determined by within the 1st 40 (Number of drivers finishing the race & how many finished on the lead lap.) Initial setups will be chosen by draw using Random.org {Specialty Setups for Kyoto-Oval races}. Afterwards, after every 5 races, the setups will be chosen by reverses points standing (Points leader gets 20th's setup, 2nd gets 19th, etc) to allow equal opportunity. Paint Schemes will also change after every 5 races.

Qualifying: AI units will be allowed 10 minutes to complete at least one lap within an appropriate pace. If a driver is unsuccessful in completing a lap, & if time prevails, they'll be responded back into pit road to try again. Top qualifier earns no extra points.

Race: Racing will be between 50 miles (30 minutes) - 100 miles (60 minutes) including a mandatory pit stop. Tracks will be with "Rookie Walls" layouts to insure that all drivers can possibly finish. Drivers will start with 100% Fuel load and expected to finish without refueling. Tires are only allowed to be changed with 25% or more wear.

》Start: Should 25% or more cars (5 or more) turn around 180° or more within the first 3 laps, the race will call a restart.
》 If a single car is in threat of wrecking a lead car or cars, the race will be restarted.
》If Race Control calls any special restart, it is to be applied.

If drivers are slow due to damage, excessive tire wear, or technical damage, they are allowed to be re-spawned back into Pit Road ONLY if they have not completed 50% of the race distance (at the cost of starting back at lap 1). If a racer has completed the 50%, no re-spawn will be allowed.

》Finishing: Lead Lap cars, lapped cars, descending order of DNF, and then descending order of Disqualifications.

Point Standings: Points will be determined by finishing order in each race. No extra points are to be allowed in qualification or race. After 40 races, the top 10 cars will advance for the championship with the top 10 setups. After the final 10 races, top points earner will be crowned champion.

1st=20pts
2nd=19pts
3rd=18pts
4th=17pts
5th=16pts
and so on.

》Setups: Overall points leader will earn top setup, 2nd earns 2nd setup, etc. Instead of changing every 5 races, Championship drivers will change every 3 races, paint schemes too.

if LFS had better AI it would probably be better Big grin
I think you would have better races with this in nr2003 since the ai actually try to pass each other. even on road courses.
food for thought if you do another season
I actually dont have to restart, I can continue. I have all the setups and the schedule is right up there ^^^ . In fact, I can give somebody all my information and let them run it.
