I thought some of you may be interested in reading about the latest in virtual GPU support. Given the growth in virtualisation for desktops etc, it's now possible to provide GPU desktop support from a virtual server.

It is now possible to virtualize the GPU so it’s shared conceptually such as processor, RAM and networking hardware are today by hypervisors. The virtual GPU can be carved into smaller pieces for a higher density of desktop sessions to be used with greater efficiency."
