So America has "Police officer shoots person in theater over texting" (which every newspaper in America seemed to go "Has smartphone usage gotten out of hand" instead of "GUNS ARE BAD!").

Canada has a senile former (VERY former) government person claiming stuff about aliens.

So scary.
