Logitech g27 wheel steup help
Hello guys.

I'm quite new to this game and wanted to ask something. Whenever i try to drift, my Logitech g27 acts weird, i think.
Basically whenever i turn the wheel and then release it, letting it spin back, it only comes back to the center, and not to the other side. That way the car doesn't really counter steer.

In all the youtube videos, of people drifting in lfs with a g27, i've seen, the wheel couter steers, while mine stops at the center

In the video below, once the guy releases the wheel it spins the other direction.

Another example of what i want to have

Is there a way to get mine to do the same in the setups somewhere?

Thanks.
Try playing around in the profiler with either global settings or specific lfs settings. I think disabling "Enable center spring" or something along those lines might help.

Well, a real car's steering wheel will always try to go back to center when releasing it. You have to do the countersteering, the G27 won't.

If you disable FFB and center spring, you will get what he is doing. But he is using the wheel's momentum to throw it in the other direction, the wheel isn't doing it by itself...

You can also just pull the power plug on your G27, will do the same.

I think he meant that when wheel is sliding back to center and stops instantly on center, not sliding a bit over to the other side of center and back etc.

or...?

Excuse me, sir, have you ever gotten a real car at least a little bit sideways? This car probably has FFB disabled too?

Krugmander gave the right advice.
Could be your technique, might help to post a video of how your trying to drift.

i have FFB enabled and my wheel certainly doesnt stop in the center, and that doesnt happen in real life either.

so if you post a video, might be easier to see the issue happen doing figure 8s and showing us how it stops mid transition.

You can try to go straight and do a handbrake turn, and let go of the wheel after you turn in, it just stops in the center?
ive uploaded a video of myself showing how mine behaves. is it similar?

like everyone says, sorry for the crappy video capture, just did the quickly, but you can see after i let go the wheel countersteers to the left after i try turning right.

Since the thread is asking about setups, ill share mine.
I am using a g27 at 900degrees with 100 ffb (and pretty much everything else at 100.
I havent bothered tweaking them yet, so i dont even know if this is optimal.
ingame ffb is set at 90.

That's a nice setup. Is that the chilicoke adapter?
