Time for some v8 action tomorrow night.. Anyone planning to stay up?
When there's a stream or the official Live-App will work then, yes.

According twitter it seems like, no coervage via live-app.

Quote :APP USERS: V8SC are unable to display live timing data from the #AusGP Non Champ event. Coverage via our app will resume again for Tasmania

The live app only works at the official rounds, where seven is the broadcaster. At the Australian Grand Prix, however, One is the broadcaster of everything counting to it, also one reason among others why it isn't a points race.
4 races this weekend (including an elimination qualifying race)

Quote :Cars start Race 1 (to be known as a Qualifying Race) on Friday morning in the order of the Thursday qualifying session.

After the completion of the 3rd lap the cars in 28th, 27th, and 26th will be in the 'drop out zone' and are to return to the pit lane and are out of the race.

After the completion of the 4th lap the cars in 25th, 24th, and 23rd will be in the 'drop out zone' and are to return to the pit lane and are out of the race.

After the completion of every lap, up to and including after the completion of lap 8, the same will apply. At the end of the eighth lap, all remaining 10 cars continue to the end of the race.

Also they said they reserve the right to deploy the safety car on lap 9 to bunch up the remaining 10 cars.
By the looks of things it'll be hard to find a decent stream, going to be sticking to watching F1 this weekend..
I found an stream this morning
Massive crash on the first lap. Taz douglas on his side. Some hard hits in that wreck.

EDIT: Red flag is out for this wreck.

They never really showed a replay. I ended up missing it.
And we're off
Stupid FWD.
Quote from amp88 :The racing car will be RWD.

Well yes of course it would be, just silly they base it off a real life counterpart that is actually FWD.
Quote from S3ANPukekoh3 :stupid... AUSCAR here we come

Sorry but... wat? lol'd so hard I spilt my drink all over PMD
I hate you. I have work to do, and now none of it will get done
Disappointing that Davison kept doing the same thing under braking, just cannot drive into other people's lines like that I was expecting that eventually he'd tap himself wide off of Lowndes' car, but meh..
#70 - robt
Nice to see a few people follow this. Been enjoying the racing this year, nice to see Team Vodafone struggling a little to make a nice change!
Afaik the rear is light and has quite a high roll centre due to the type of rear suspension used, and to get the cars to turn while using a live axle. I don't think they roll over that often, to be honest.
From 2007, when i started watching V8, i remember seeing 3 rolls max, others only from the V8 history on youtube, i think it's very rare event.

The last v8 roll was in 2010. The one at Melbourne wasn't even a roll...

Yeah, i think it was the one at Bathurst. Didn't see the Melbourne races yet, still waiting for me.
