Hi, I've returned to the game after a lengthy spell away.
After reinstalling and logging into my game account I can't find any of my old cars/garage. Were all these lost when I uninstalled the game? (ie are the settings stored client side or are they held on LFS servers somewhere?)

Did you unlocked LFS with your license?

Yeah game was unlocked with my S1 license

Settings? Your car setup are saved on your harddrive indeed.

You need to unlock the game again, and all your setups will be gone if you have deleted LFS since last time you played it.

Go to Setupgrid and download the setup packs, they have setup for the 90% of the combos of tracks&cars
