A feature I Would like to see, is that you can lock the camera to the rotation of the car, as this would allow for some good around car camera setups

+1 on this. Could also be affected by the smooth movement so that when you have a higher smooth movement the view will follow the car smoother.

options - view - "the body". And move the sliders to move the camera to the desired position on the car body. And that's the focus of a camera, a great idea.
