It'll soon get forced onto the civilised world... at which point we'll all go, laters youtube.
Its "Beta" at the moment. As soon as it officially launches, it will probably go global.

You and Suicide could be the presenters for each episode.

I already did. It hosts all the content relevant to me.

I called it pornhub.

Who?

Rebecca Black?

To be honest I made the thread to discuss this new renting concept... Not to feed her. Used her as an example because AFAIK thats the only video at the moment that has it enabled.

Anyway, I think its dumb. I cant see myself paying to watch what I do now. Never.

If they started uploading some TV shows, maybe some documentaries or stuff like that, then yeah, why not. I would probably use it. But for other users channels, never going to happen.

yeah, because netflix and hulu are doing sooooooooooooooo good. </sarcasm>
Well Netflix and Hulu are only available to US citizens, so I cant comment on it as I never used it. Thats not to say though I wouldnt like to use it... If they had something like that going for UK/Europe, I would gladly pay for it - Given the price is acceptable ofcourse.
Everyone knows that... Buts its a bit like the tellie... For example, if I wanted to start watching something like, "Game of Thrones" I would have to find a channel that streams it, and then hope it starts from the first episode, which is damn unlikely. Justin TV is all about live... We're talking more about on-demand.

And yes, a simple Google search would bring up websites where I can watch it, but more times than not the video quality is horrible, and there are stupid things like time-limits and whatnot...
And that's where I thought Youtube couldn't even go downhill anymore with all that Licensing Crap. Turns out I was wrong.

www.dailymotion.com is ok-ish, and has already loads of vids as well.
They're probably trying a new business model, they want to know if people are willing to pay for "premium" videos and if yes, how much. I don't give it much chance as people don't usually like to pay for something that used to be free and why would anyone upload a payed video on YT anyway? YT is all about people sharing their videos and if YT begins to charge for that, they'll gladly move to FB or whatever other options there are. Advertising and promotional videos like "Friday" need as much viewers as they can get so making them payed is not a good idea either... It'll be interesting to see how this eventually turns out...
