I use an Xbox control for LFS

left thumb stick: steering
right thumb stick: only using the down motion for clutch and only the clutch
RT and LT: gas and brake
RB and LB: shift up and down
Y: horn
A: handbrake
the rest. meh....something not so important

and how do u (steer) control the car ...i drift all over the place with my controller, cant go straight more then 20 meters ...

wheel turn 90 degrees
When i used an xbox controller for drifting i found having the
steering set to 200 degrees,
wheel turn compensation at 1.00

RT: throttle LT: brake
RB: shift up LB: shift down

Left analog: Steering

B button as E brake
Y as the clutch

and to make the back buttons work for throttle and brake
you have to run them as combined axis,

If you dont have a disc with the software on you can download Microsoft gaming accessories software for free from the microsoft website.

Thankfully those days are over, as i now have a wheel
