Also: an astoundingly similar freezing problem has been reported here. Check the solution here, that might apply. Be careful about tinkering with power management drivers, by the way.

Thanks for the link Albeig - went into the device manager and updated the driver for the ACPI PC within the "computer" settings - a quick reboot and it's all sorted. Back to a nice smooth online game with a decent FPS of 90+.

As to why it happened who knows - one of those PC things I guess illepall .

Perhaps we could get the devs to make a sticky link to this apparent "freezing" fix?

I tried this fix too as I was getting the same freezing issues - it too has sorted my probs

EDIT: hhhmmmm just had another lock up .... whole PC froze for 5 secs/sound loops and then back to LFS (in the wall)..... boo hoo
