i've just done a clean install of XP MCE and when playing rfactor with more that ten AI my game would just flicker. when on lfs i cant get more that 50fps. with my old card i could reach 150+ that was my old 9800gtx, now in running a 2gb gainward gtx260. i thought it was drivers but i got the latest from nvidia and now i cant load any game. lfs says something about hard drive. rfactor refuses to load and cod refuses to load and says something about directx. i have reinstalled directx but nothing.

Please post specific error messages. We can't help you if it "says something about hard drive". Also check your system log for any errors, type eventvwr.msc in Run command prompt. Maybe you should try installing the drivers that are on the CD that came with your video card, that's the first step. I know some people get better performance by using older drivers.

i reinstalled the drivers from the disc and so far so good. bit weird that newer drivers caused a problem
