I looked at the previous pictures, it looked like a MK4 but can't tell cos that damn wheelie bin in the way :P heheh
Update... Front done (except fog lights, etc from the bumper), rear in progress. New tyres with BBS rims fitted. Chassis werk will be finished tomorrow, ready for some paintjob. Then MOT, and done, more modifications later. I don't think the engine was ever washed during the 20 years. Looks like a new one right now. Got the engine running, I needed a new ECU, and a proper HP-pump cleaning (with petroleum) and it runs like a dream. So stable on the road, and it's not lazy at all despite it's a diesel, feels great to drive. Made a lame crappy phone video too...
Oh, and the speedo doesn't work either, needs to be replaced too.

I'll be cleaning the interior tomorrow and finish the chassis work on the back.

Of course it doesnt feel lazy if you rev it up to 5k hah. It's a tractor engine töki, treat it like one.

Hehe, yeah will do. Of course I won't rev it to 5k daily. I've been driving diesels ever since I got my license, it was just a test to see how it feels.
The soarer has just had HKS Hypermax II coilovers brought for it, and will be installed tomorrow morning..

no more stupidly high ride height!
[sarcasm][stock suspension fanboy mode=on] dont do that, its dangerous and will ruin handling and OEM is the best! [/off][/sarcasm]

But all he does is skids so it doesn't matter.
Quote from G!NhO :But all he does is skids so it doesn't matter.

damn straight
oh yes, and after winter it will go down moaaaaaar
smth like -50mm springs at the front now, after winter will put on coilovers to go -100 or smth

^^I'll be able to beat that tomorrow :P

bodykit already sits low as it is

That's why most body kits look dumb. Body work is low, wheel housings leave too much space.

It doesnt look too bad stock because the soarer is naturally a pretty low car.
But yeah, i agree
Quote from 5tag :corrected

[...]I agree though I have one attached to my car.

Re-corrected for trolling purposes just for you 5tag.
i cant even put my foot under the bumper ^^

one of my fav pics, on the ground my RB20 32 4dr (pride and joy), next to it on the hoist is what is left of my RB26 32 2dr (missile) after being cut up and shipped back. not long after this the RB26, T78 kit and all of the support mods were stripped out and sold for a healthy sum which goes towards my trip coming up in november back there.

i'll have 2 more cars soon to share with you guys, hoping for another R32 as a missile, and a C33 laurel which will be my streeter to get around Japan and drift the touge's over there (amazing).

a tribute to my 2dr 32 which gave me many memories, which is now a pile of metal in my backyard:

when i first bought it:

in the carpark to the mountain i worked on, where i layed many a skid at the request of my japanese friend hiro who managed the car park:

hooray to having to clear this every time i had to drive it:

a street spot, local to where we worked (i smashed the lower lip skidding here, getting too close to the snow on the ground, so that was the end of that):

the first real damage, meet and greet with ebisu school courses wall.

waking up to this, the day before i was meant to compete in D1 east division at minami, this meant no competition for me as i still had to pull my gearbox out and fix my clutch, which wasnt happening in that weather. for those who know ebisu, that is the touge course behind me.

smashing over the infamous japanese gutter, takumi does it better than me. unfortunately my igniter module plug decided to come off the module mid drift, cutting complete power to my engine, and sending me into the mountain. nothing to do except hold on and hope damage was minimal haha
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hp ... 013_3885455_4952666_n.jpg

the damage was minimal, just a dented rim, unfortunately it wasnt holding air, but considering what it just went through, i was happy with just a dent, amazing strength. a quick trip down to agent K's and i was rolling again, this was the same day, my first day drifting minami (due to not having a clutch previously)

my mate, who came up, never been in a drift car, took him out on one of the worlds scariest courses, with me, who had never drifted the course before, and has a slight reputation for being wreckless as **** and hitting stuff, hard haha. to this day, i'm yet to have anyone get in my car, and not make contact with something on the track, he was no exception, some big scraped on the minami and north course wall, he took it like a champ however haha

car started to resemble a proper missile, this is me filling up at petrol station, in the middle of nihonmatsu, still to this day my favourite photo.

matsuri, the mecca of drift, undoubtably

5pm, sunday, the aftermath:

Paint splinter isnt visible, and as far as i know, most people don't stick there head under the car to check the paint on the inner side of the lip.

Besides, did you actually see the car?

Ziptied bodykit, tape over crack ont he front bar, dents/scratchs

its not exactly a show car..its built to perform not sit on a pedestal looking pretty

and we would have done it properly, but

a) we didnt think it was going to rub, so we werent prepared for it
b) we dont have a heat gun, rubber mallet, or a guard roller
c) we couldn't drive the car because it was cutting into the tyre, it was the quickest and fastest way we could do it to get it driveable
Yeah, has come in handy quite alot as a breaker bar hahaha
haha for me it is my guard puller out at the track when i tag tyres on the way through, ****ers pull my guards in onto my fronts which i have to run out wide due to modified knuckles. cant afford to **** fronties as my sponsors isnt a huge fan of giving high end tyres away haha. hands only do so much in the line up, back in the pits the guards get an official raping haha
