Quote from joshdifabio :Hmm, in the unlikely event that boothy's line works, have a look at this one, too :P.

Session of incident: Sprint race
Lap AND Timecode of incident: 4 / 10:35-10:55
Cars involved: 92 and 98
Brief description of incident: Car 92 cuts turn one with all four wheels and then uses the advantage to pass car 98.

Car 92 uses a shortcut to gain an advantage. We'll use custom placement penalty to place him behind Car 98 in the finish result.

Mr. Hutchinson contents that the shortcut was in an attempt to avoid a collision, after Mr. Pikkarainen was taking the corner at a slower speed than Mr. Hutchinson was. Mr. Hutchinson also contends that the shortcut advantage was negated by his lifting off the throttle after rejoining the tarmac. Mr. Hutchinson also contends that the pass would have happened on that straight regardless of shortcut, due to the speed differential through Turn 1.

After consideration of the opinion of the penalized driver, the penalty is overturned.

Quote from dekojester :The following drivers receive Feature Race Exclusions (DQ) for failure to heed local yellow flags

69 - C. Ford[/B]

Meh Racing, on behalf of Mr Ford, have appealed this penalty. The Team Representative, Mr Booth, contends that Mr Ford did not at the time of the incident receive a yellow flag message; that Mr Ford was focused on the whereabouts of Car 07, and was unable to sight or respond to in time to the stationary car 91.

Accounting for the view information provided from Mr Ford, this contention is deemed acceptable. Mr. Ford's disqualification will be reversed. and he will be returned to his finishing position.

Car 11, S. Riegler - Exclusion from Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2010 LFSCART Light Summer Series for reckless driving, and interpreted intent to make intentional contact with another car. Unsporting behaviour. 6-month NDR Probation, effective from the date of Round 9.

In addition, Tiger Express Motorsports will be issued a 15-point penalty as a result of the actions of their driver. Something Awful Racing will be issued a 30-point penalty as a result of the actions of their driver.

Mr Riegler has contended that his quick driving after the excusrion into the Turn 4 gravel was to return to the pits in a timely manner. Mr Riegler also contends that ample opportunities to take out Mr Lind were offered, but not taken.

After consideration of the full opinion provided by Mr Riegler, the decision has been made to reverse all penalties listed in association with Mr Riegler's Actions.
