big luxurious big engined car for under 2k
hi,
my family is going on a holiday and where going to buy a big luxurious preferably v8 car to go down in. so far ive found. jag xj8, bmw 735,740,750 all under "2k is there any more options. we went looking at a s type today there too small
A daimler, perhaps?

but you should look at cheap BMW without V8's (I6 or w/e)
V8 isn't the way to go.
A 7-series BMW under 2000 euros, pounds or 2000 of whatever basically is going to cause you a lot of headaches and a pretty big hole in your wallet, but on the other hand, your service guy will be grinning ear to ear.

A £40k car will be made from £40k's worth of parts and have servicing costs tailored to the budget of someone who spends £40k on a car...

You can get 7-series cheap... but they aren't cheap to run.

You say an S-Type is too small... what size are you looking at? Big-ass Volvo T5?

found a 740i and a il pretty close to us. waiting for a reply from them both. size wize something a8ish in size. regarding t5 we was looking at a volvo 2.0t estate today there was a amazing mk2 escort rs2000 in the showroom. back OT is there any American cars you could recommend. also regarding the v8 my dad wants a change from hatchbacks and just wants to try a big v8

No

And at the sort of price range you're looking at, whatever big engined (as in V8) car you buy will either be really quite old, or a complete dog. Either look for something less powerful but still reasonably quick, or raise your budget.

Ignoring the V8 thing, Lexus IS200? RWD, 0-60 in a respectable 9.5secs, leather/half leather, cruise control, all that...

The 7 series looks tasty though, not sure its the most reliable thing ever!

IS200 is 3-series sized (if an S-Type is too small, then so will the IS200) and DRINKS fuel considering it's not "on another planet" fast...

the s type itself is an ok sized car but the inside was slightly cramped.

My mum's Saab 93 is a similar story.. 175 bhp 2.0t, currently averaging 24 mpg.

And its performance is VERY leisurely
W T F a e38 under 2000£, which looks quite good in pics? Here you can get only e32 (previous 7-er) under 2k£ or crashed e38, but not something like that..
Just for information, how much costs a e36 M3 or subaru impreza RS turbo in UK?
Quote from Agniz :how much costs a e36 M3

Just under £4000 ish at the cheapest end
pretty much setlled for a 740 at the moment. they look nice, the interiors are amazing in the right colour. just waiting on a reply from the silver one on ebay
You can pick up a 5.4lt, V8, nearly 400bhp AMG E55 Merc for pence these days.
lol, Theres 3 on ebay, which I never noticed among the >£14000 ones
1990~ era Toyota Celsior?
