If you keep LFS running for a longer time, will the "Core 0" temp raise any further? 55°C when idling is pretty high, but the thermal control of your lappy just might be set to keep your CPU at 55°C. Until your CPU temp exceeds 70°C you should be perfectly fine. Moreover, simple CPU overheat wouldn't make your computer crash.
Perhaps you could run some CPU stability tests just to make sure. Something like "CPU Burn-in" test ran for about 30 mins should do.

EDIT: What kind of graphics card does your computer have?

False, I'm having some overheating probs and when CPU overheats, PC dies.

Do you have anything like this to put below your lappy? If you don't, try asking your friends if they have just for the test, if the temps are lower, buy one. Don't know how to translate it's name on english.

Hmm if i bought one of those would it stop my laptop from over heating.

Don't buy it... Ask your friends do they have one to borrow you for a day. If it helps, then buy one, if not, there must be another solution...

I'm pretty much convinced that your CPU temp is just fine. There is nothing wrong with CPU running at 71°C. TjMax for your Celeron 530M is 100°C (according to Intel specs) and you'd have to heat it up even higher to make PC crash.
After checking out few things I suspect your graphics card. There is an Intel GMA X3100 right? I can hardly imagine it overheating, but you can check out this site to obtain a recent driver. I have a feeling that you'll have better luck with updated graphics driver than with a cooling pad.

You need to uninstall the drivers you now have and install the official Intel drivers. But don't ask me where are your drivers located, I don't know that... You have to find it on your own.

You can try reinstalling current graphics driver, get it here. You can also try the default Intel driver which might work better, it's hard to tell. The Intel one seems to be much more up to date and according to the changelogs it fixes few issues with 965 IGP.
You can get it here if you wish to try it out. You'll have to uninstall the HP graphics driver before installing the Intel one.

EDIT: If I were you, I'd go for the Intel one, but the choice is yours...

i uninstalled my Driver then installed the Intel 1 but it just installed the same 1 i just removed :S

There are at several ways how to do this
1) Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Software->find something that says "graphics driver" or something similar in the list and uninstall it. Then reboot windows and install the Intel driver.

2) If you're sure it's not possible to uninstall HP driver with method 1, do following. Rightclick "My computer"->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager->unfold Graphics Adapter tree->rightclick whatever is there(should be only one item saying "intel something..."->Properties->Driver->Uninstall driver. Then reboot and install Intel driver.

Hope I got it right, I haven't been messing around with WinXP for quite a while. Feel free to post some screenshots if you're unsure about something.

There shouldn't be any apparent change except the reported version number. You can check driver version in "dxdiag" on the Video tab.

Ok i have just installed the new Intel Driver.
I am now going to do that SpeedFan thing with CPU Burn in running then i will post the results

I guess you misunderstood the meaning of this procedure a bit Graphics driver update will not reduce CPU temp or it's load, but the info you've posted so far pointed me to a possible problem with it. Faulty graphics driver is very likely to cause crashes and image corruption like the one you get.
The only way to find out if it helped is to go play some LFS and see if it crashes again.

Ok well im gonna go have some fun then i will come back later and tell you if i got system crash again. . .
