Car 36 does not sufficiently take into account car 12; although there was a big difference in closing speeds, car 36 had enough time to slow and miss car 12. DT for causing an avoidable incident.

Car 14 isn't in the race...

You used a driver who was not on your e-mailed roster, thus you lost all your laps with said driver.
Fixing Car number 1 (S. Williams)

Protest
Lap/Timecode/Session : lap 91 time approx 4 h in race
Cars involved : 37 and 31
Brief description of incident : car 37 was off the track and at re-enter,
car 37 hit car 31.
On same lap car 37 push car 31 of the track just before start/finish line.

On same lap car 37 push car 31 of the track just before start/finish line.

1. At the corkscrew, car 37 makes an error, but the tyres manage to grip and he slides sideways back onto the track despite braking.

2. Car 37 starts lagging out of the final corner, and on the start/finish straight car 31 does not give car 37 sufficient room when passing - even moving towards the other car when there is half of the track available.

No penalties.
Lap/Time: 139, about 5:56:20

Lap/Timecode/Session: 83 - about 3h 32min 25sec
Cars involved: 36, 01, 21 (us), 33
Brief description of incident:

#01 causes a heavy crash with #36 and after spinning a few times, #01 just lets his car roll across the whole street and causes more avoidable and unnecessary crashes with #21 and #33.
#01 clearly can see #21 coming (trying to avoid a crash) from his driver's view, but doesn't use his brakes (just letting his car roll into #21's). Then he spins another time and stays on the track, so #33 (in a fight) hits him. (Maybe #01 should have tried to use reverse-gear at that point to get off the track)..

If that move was ok,then ....

Car 33 runs a bit wide, deliberately turns left to avoid the tyres and signage, then rejoins the track. Car 04 backs off, turns in, clips the tyres on top of the hill, puts it wide, and spins after hitting the tyres at the dip. No contact, the only affect from Car 33's off was car 33 being there somewhat blocking the view, which can happen on any other lap. No penalties.

Also, the team of Serbian Chromed Pistons is placed on final warning for multiple frivolous protests in the past two rounds. Next protest deemed frivolous will be rejected and see a DT penalty plus a 10 point penalty to the team.
For actions following the race, during the inlap, Car 04 actively seeks out and rams twice in the pitlane at high speed Car 33.

This is considered reckless driving, intentional wrecking. This behaviour is not tolerated.

The driver who committed the offence, Ivan Todorivic is excluded from Round 6 - all his laps will be discounted. He is immediately placed on 6 months NDR-wide exclusion.

As this incident was protested, the entire incident has been re-reviewed, and may override any decision made in-race, pending any new evidence that may have been seen.

It has been deemed that Car 01 was in follow view at the time of contact. This view at the time was a hindrance to view and control, as just prior to contact being made, the view was changed from incar to follow. If the driver had not changed, perhaps he would have noticed better the closing to the side of 36. Also after switching to follow, spatial awareness of the gap decreased, leading to the contact, then the inducing of a lag hit.

While spinning, Car 01 slightly holds the brakes, but makes no apparent effort to keep the car to one side of the track allowing it to spin about. No corrective steering movements occur until the car is back to the left side of the center line. While spinning driver of 01 switches back to incar from follow.

For all the above: Being in a disallowed view leading to an accident; failure to sufficiently attempt to avoid further collisions while spinning result in a 27 second penalty to the team - the approximate time a Stop-Go penalty would have cost.

Car 21 is issued a WARNING to slow down a bit sooner, considering the location of the local yellow. Simply lifting off was not sufficient, a press of the brakes and sooner would have helped reduce the impact or risk of the collision.

Car 33 makes a sufficient attempt to avoid Car 01, which by this time was stationary on track. However, Car 32 was alongside, still racing in the yellow flag zone. Car 32 fails to attempt to slow or take evasive action, also contacting 33, and leading to 33 having an inability to take the open right hand side of track. For this failure to heed yellow flags, Car 32 is also issued a 27 second penalty, the approximate cost of a Stop-Go penalty on AS4R.

Cars involved: #24, #18
Brief Description: Car #18 hits us into the grass going into T1, causing us to lose the position and go flying through the gravel.

Car 24 is overtaken on the main straight, takes slipstream and starts to come alongside Car 18. Car 18 moves to the left, with Car 24 right on the edgeline of the track. Car 24 starts to move onto the kerbing, but has insufficient kerbing to make it on before Car 18 makes contact. Car 24 had right to be in that position, and 18 should have held his line and/or looked left to see Car 24 there. Car 18 very likely would have kept the corner, with Car 24 coming out behind, but it is deemed that this contact prevented Car 24 from having further chance to attack the position.

Car 18 is issued a 2-second penalty for the avoidable contact, and to place it only behind the car who it caused the problems to. This type of penalty will now be somewhat often applied in very late-race incidents.
