Bad start for TDRT in the season. Looked promising until we got damage in a lag accident. The flip and end of race 45 mins. before race finish.
We try again next round at Kyoto.
Before round 2, there are some rules league admins might want to have a second look at:
K 1.1: SC laps announcement
A 3.1: Wind announcement
Nothing was announced 24 hours before the race, maybe there´s no need for this rule.
C 1.1: Skins
There can only be two options according to the rules: A correct one or a wrong one. If you feel that a correct skin is very important, personally I don´t, you need to punish
all teams with a wrong skin..
My suggestion: Think about changing this rule and give the teams some credit here, possibly a post race warning only.
G 4: Race re/start conduct - tire warming allowed incombination with
K 4: SC - tire warming NOT allowed.
I can´t see a point in having two different rules were the race situations are about the same.
But: In case you don´t want to allow tire warming under SC periods, you need to force drivers on the server to do so, otherwise take this rule off the book again. It can´t even get post-race protested acc. to the rules, it looks like.
K 3.1: Pit closed
I wondered how some teams got a lap back yesterday, as they all of sudden were to be found in between the leading two cars and the car on 3rd place. It´s a guess only, but I think this "pit exit closed" doesn´t work the way it should.
J 1: Max. 3 driver changes / 6 for the 8 hours
In general, I can´t see the reasoning for this rule. Fact is, it kills all pitstop flexibility and forces the teams to go at least 1 hour stints or a driver to do a double-stint. It basically forbidds shorter then 1 hour stints, which btw. isn´t always possible to do with the FXR, like on a track like BL on r3r3 fx.. 4 driver changes would be better I think. XRR teams wouldn´t like to see a rule like: "Min. 3 driver changes" either on a 4 hours race.
K 2.4: "When the SC crosses the line on the first full SC period lap, all lapped cars between the leader and the last lead-lap car will be instructed by the race marshals to pass the leader and proceed to the rear of the queue, maintaining relative position."

Yesterday the gap from 5th (Error) to 6th (MoS) was 9 seconds only.
5th to 10th position was about 20 seconds only.
Then the SC came and 5th ( 4th as well ) was lucky to be inbetween 2nd and 3rd, the last car on the leading lap.
This rule gave a few teams a + 1 lap present and I think thats one of the worse rules I´ve ever seen in racing. It´s "a pure luck rule" to be on a lucky spot and doesnt really motivate any team to let a car pass under blue flag, does it? AFAIR this rule was made and later on modified to make it easier for the leading teams not to have to battle with backmarkers on a SC restart.
Did it work yesterday? No, it didn´t.
Only 1st,2nd,3rd didn´t have a blue flagged car in front. 4th way back with a + 1 lap present, then 5th position with loads of backmarkers in front, but also presented a +1 lap...
What I mean here is: Let the leading teams battle backmarkers on a SC restart or give ALL teams not on the lead lap this + 1 lap present. I´m not sure if I´m the only one thinking this rule misses its point completly the way it is at this moment.
And with 3 teams overtaking under SC period like yesterday, illegally re-gaining their race positions, this very rule the way it is now is not at all to handle online by admins, I´m afraid.
