The online racing simulator
It was fantastic until all the downloads stopped working . Anyway, it is a shame in some ways, but a good thing in other ways.
I can't remember the last time RSC was usable, every time I wanted to use it for anything it was either down or horrifically slow. I haven't missed it for years so I don't imagine I'll miss it now - not much value in a resource that nobody can access.
Quote from JPeace :dont start that..

Don't worry,I already did. Oops!

*side note*

To be honest,I was really in RSC because of their DIY projects. They were explaned quite well and were quite easy to follow. But that was the only reason why I was there,as I am ''selfbuilder''. I like more to build my own stuff rather than go to the store and buy it for a price which is higher than a skyscraper.

I'm with Kev. I only found RSC when I found LFS and used the LFS section there until this forum was created. RSC failed to load with errors more often than allowing one to get on the forum back then in 2005.

If you are running a forum and it's members can't get on it for weeks at a time, why would people continue to support it?

To be honest, I wouldn't have noticed is passing if nobody had told me, and I'm sure it would be the same for many other people.

5-6 years ago that would've been a very different matter.

Same here.
It's a shame. communities like SCGT's and other sims are pretty much toast in regards of files. Still VirtualR however

Same, but I have visited RSC recently quite a bit.
RSC died a slow death over years, this is just the final nail in the coffin. It will be missed, and kudos to those that helped run it. I doubt they'll every be another the same, but we can hope.
New Message:

RaceSimCentral.com is changing hands
Whoa! I didn't even know domains had hands!
So RSC will have a new owner? Still, the old threads will never probably get recovered.
RSC was great until the time it went down and then it just became a big load of crap and a lot of communities took its place, no need for RSC anymore

The marketplace was convenient though.

I never used RSC after LFS opened its own forum.

Some of the data is a loss but the community in RSC died years ago so no loss in that respect
Re-signed up. Read the other two threads - LOL!
The forums are spammed with porn bots and freak'o people.
Nothing new then? :P
Quote from BlueFlame :The forums are spammed with porn bots

that's common for any forum without proactive and/or interactive moderation.
I know, I'z juz sayin' youz guyz.
I've learned more about recent news in sim racing reading the News on RSC, than I have in the past 2 years! Really good source in my book.
