IFCL Rules
IFCL 2009

International Front Wheel Drive CrapBoxes League 2009 which uses the UF1000 car from the racing simulation of Live For Speed (www.lfs.net) for users with a legal LFS S2 licence. All drivers must respect and race within rules published by the LFS Developers.

CHAT
No driver is permitted to chat unnecessarily during official sessions, if a driver chats in qualifying, a warning will be issued. If a driver chats in a race, a 5 second penalty for every word typed will be issued.

Qualifying

Qualifying will consist of a 20 minute ‘hardcore’ session. This means that all drivers must leave the pitlane when instructed, and must not pit until when permitted to do so. Should a driver pit when not instructed to do so, this will result in a penalty in starting the race from the back of the grid.

Start Procedure

A standing start procedure will take place. Jump starts will result in penalties being issued by Live For Speed automatically in-game.

End of Race Procedure

Drivers must continue around the track in an orderly fashion, and return to the pitlane. If a driver displays reckless behaviour, it will be dealt with after race.

Rules of Race Craft

Any racing manoeuvres that are protested will be investigated after the race by the officials.

Whoever is on the racing line, (displayed in LFS by pressing the F4 Key) will have the right of way, and is not at fault if they have at least half of their car in front of the car behind.

A driver may only change direction of defence once, so no swerving going into corners is permitted.

Lapped cars do not have to move out of the attacking car on the lead lap’s way. The lead car is responsible for passing safely, and must respect the lapped car’s driver too. Should the lead car hit the lapped car, a penalty may be issued.

Should a car exit the track by driver error, it should not rejoin until its safe to do so.

Skins

Skins must comply to the LFSW and SRLT Events regulations (no pornographic or offending images)

No NEED FOR NUMBERPLATES
Teams

Teams must consist of at least 2 drivers, and at the most, 3 drivers. Only 2 best drivers points are counted during the round

Penalties

Jump Start – At the discretion of Live for Speed.

Dangerous Driving – Warning initially issued exclusion from SRLT events may concur if the accident(s) in question is serious enough.

Chat in session – Warning (qualifying and practice only) 5 second per word for unnecessary race chat.

Please note that if an Admin feels the need to issue a penalty not listed here, they reserve the right to do so. And by signing up to the series you agree to respect the admins and their decisions. Exclusion from SRLT and IMA Events may occur should you choose not to follow this rule.
