New Motherboard question
i recently have had some motherboard issues, so i am upgrading to a better motherboard, do i have to reformat my hdd when i put in the new motherboard?
No, but you have to re-install all applications and drivers for it.

ok thats all i was worried about because i have important stuff on my hdd that i need and no other pc to use to get the data off because my hdd being Sata and my old dell is only IDE.. Thanks for the feedback

You can get the data off that other HD using a cable you can buy that provides a power supply to the hard drive and data connection to a USB which you can connect to another machine and copy the data over.

Something like this - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130517 - although you can get better ones that work with SATA too.

yea but i dont wanna get it off thats the thing.. i didnt wanna lose it buy having to reformat to install a new hdd... thats was my only question.. i wanna keep my data on that hdd
You won't need to format the existing hard drive. You will need to install the chipset drivers for the board though.
